For the record, the reason clues don’t tap to activate is basically because they came out first, and it was only afterwards that the design team decided they preferred to make the tokens need to tap (this is most relevant with Treasures, where they have made some cards that create them tapped initially). So mostly clues just benefit from being the oldest child.

After Ixalan when WotC first printed Treasures as a replacement for Gold which didn’t tap to sac and which they thought would have been a little too good in the same Standard as Improvise they decided that all artifact tokens that sac for an effect would tap from then on. Clues kind of got grandfathered in under the old style since they were so popular.

42:39 that draw was crazy. You only had a 0.016% chance of drawing three pairs, and you still didn't have a land in hand lol

3:48 After clues were popular, Magic kept making all sorts of other trinket artifact tokens. But when treasures debuted in Ixalan block (after clues), so did the improvise keyword. Imagine someone paying the 1 to sac a blood by tapping that blood for mana (with Urza, for example). That's a confusing interaction that Wizards sidesteps by making all the new artifact tokens tap as a cost. And they learned that trick because of Ixalan block.

The sound bites were incredible today

The one mana indestructible artifact is nice with the gliph and the one mana case that turns artifacts into 4/4 fliers. Unless opponent is running white to exile the deck becomes hilarious. Worth running just izzet colors to get that going

I'm glad Voltage Surge is in the board. Might want to consider 3 or 4 in the board; Doorkeeper Thrull shits on this deck pretty hard. Goes for you Boros Convoke players too.
