Welsknight, i just wanted to say thank you for these videos. It's so enjoyable to see these relaxing, HGTV-style videos. Really loving the content. As a side note, I really love the fact that you are an Army Vet. I'm personally a Navy vet, and it's so nice to see other people that didn't let the "bad side" of the military get to them. i think maybe that weird doored off hallway on the 2nd floor would have been the stairs to the attic but they didn't add that to the house so they made a weird hall lol

The reason for that is because of the way the game classifies rooms. In order for a living room to be a _family_ room, you have to put a toy (like a ball) in it. Otherwise, it's "only" a living room. I agree that it's silly, but that's the way it is.

As a huge fan of Home Alone (aka it’s the only Christmas movie my family can agree on), I’ve watched it quite a few times, and got every single movie reference (like the paint buckets by the main stairway and the tar on the basement stairs). I laughed the whole time as Wels clearly did not understand what was going on here and possibly assumed it was a normal mess X3

Every place he goes to in the McCalisters house gives me flashbacks to a scene in the movies, for example the basement entrance reminded me of the kid playing the mobster movie loudly which scared the robbers away when they heard gunshots and talking.

Its been really nice watching these videos, I enjoy the way that you lay out the videos with generally 2 houses and you show us before, a tiny part of cleaning, and then most of the after and do one room with us there, its a perfect balance, great work!!! Hey Wels, what youre referring to as half-bathrooms are usually just called comfort rooms or lavatories. Bathrooms are reserved for those that have a bath tub, a shower, or anything like that, and CRs for those that dont. Not sure if anyone has already commented this before (havent found any) but I wanted to let you know :)

Hi Wels :) If you want to renovate a special house...... try Samarta Myers House. I think it was planned to be played at Haloween. :) It's a house with special effect..... but you are able to heal the house. :) I did play this game back in time when i had my pc, but something went wrong in the big update in the start of August 2019, and since then, i'm not able to use my pc, only my laptop. And if i try to start House Flipper on Steam, my laptop is getting hot after a minute.... so i don't dare to play this game before i can affort to fix my pc, or buy another pc. :) The house called "Garden after buiding the house" is a very nice house to renovate...... i did take all of the walls down inside, and did make my own interior plan. :)

Wow, the house came out gorgeous Wels. i can't help but picturing my family living in these home's and thinking about if it would be a good fit for my dog's. I also look at the artistry that goes into each home. wowza all of them show you put alot of thought into every detail.

this game is so limited with its furniture catalogue and the general things you can/cant do (changing the wallpaper on the stairs) for being a game about interior decor. even with the limits youre doing an amazing job Wels!

In real life in a house everyone likes tile at the doors that lead to the outside so you can clean it super easy. So I don’t know if you want to play this game realistic but add tile to the areas that lead to the outside. I know they do not implement the function but it looks good

Dude better finally make a family room because I like to read the reviews and a lot of families ask for family rooms. And for smol houses with 2 bedrooms people really wanted a private room. I prefer the furniture/houses/items added in the HGTV DLC over the Garden Flipper one, but the Garden Flipper one allows you to actually do stuff with the yard. Honestly, both DLCs add a significant amount of content.

I know this is an older video, but at 12:04, you mentioned again how you can't change the wallpaper texture on the side of the staircase. But even if you can't just swap it out, did you try painting over it? Because if not, that's what I would try first. I'm playing this game on my phone, and there's a bunch of things you can do in the PC version of the game, that I can't. But whenever I ran into this, or a similar problem, I was always allowed to paint over sections, or even tile them. So that's what I would attempt, before accepting defeat. 😊👍

Greetings Welsknight, Goodness, it has been a while since I've commented on one of your videos, and...well, it's been due to my health. In essence, long story short, I have what is known as Stage Four Kidney Failure. And over the past five months, my family and I have watched my health go down. I've been in pain, and sometimes, I have to find the motivation to get up and start my day. Recently, I've picked up watching your videos again, and I must say they have helped me emotionally feel better. While it is not helpful to the physical pain, it always puts a smile on my face or makes me laugh, or helps me to forget about my troubles for a short while. Keep doing what you do, Welsknight. In the movie, they did. For whatever reason, the developers didn't put one in this house. (Game engine limitations, perhaps?) Anyway, one of the other commenters speculated that they might have originally planned one, which would explain the weird closet/hallway upstairs, which might have led to a staircase going up to the attic. I think they may be right about that.

I have a really sad story to tell you. I dont know how it happened but I was playing this game the other day and I bought a house and spend like maybe an hour and a half doing it and then when I was done and got sent back to my office the game had somehow reverted back to before I had done any progress of my office house. And a bunch of the jobs I had done were back up to do again even. I probably lost 5 hours of progress. I have no idea how it happened because I was at my office when I bought the bought and it somehow happened while I was renovating that house.

That has happened to me as well, with a house that I was going to turn into my new office. One way to work around that, I suppose, would be to make the new house your office first, and _then_ renovate it. So there does seem to be a bug that seems to only affect office houses.
