I really don’t want to be an internet hater, so I say this with all due respect; only way that guy is a 2, is if his scores are all from a very easy home-course that he has played 500 times before. Because of his last 20 rounds, 8 of them need to average a 2 handicap, and there’s just no way on any medium-difficulty course that is possible

As someone who has never ever played golf, when they got to the point where they were trying to articulate the feeling of reaching hole 7, I feel like the way to describe it is that it is almost sentient. It's not like approaching another golf hole, but rather it's like coming to meet someone. That someone has met people, seen things, and it hasn't gone places but places have come to it. I would imagine reaching the hole as if you're climbing the mountain to meet the sage, and when you've done your thing, you then move on to the next, but hole 7 is still there, waiting for the next person to meet it.

The most beautiful thing about these videos is the poetry behind every player and moment. You start by guessing who is the best golfer; who will break the desired score. Then you fall in love with their stories, their struggles, their accomplishments. An then, after 8 holes, you simply cannot take your eyes away from the video because you see yourself in them. The highs, the lows, the joy, the frustrations. We all have been there. Kudos to the team for capturing the complexity and making something special.

Congrats to Aaron for low gross, but more importantly congrats to all of you for the opportunity to play pebble and for all being people I would love to golf with! Embodies what Erik is going for with RGC, rather then all the shit talk in the comments about people’s handicaps.

The 7th was just SPECIAL! The Holy Grail for all golfers and to see 3 people experiencing it for the first time was awesome.

I’ve been lucky enough to play great courses all over the world. Wherever I play from the local muni to St Andrews I come back home and my wife asks if I had a good round and I answer with the usual terrible or great or somewhere in between. Pebble Beach was the only course that when she asked I couldn’t answer because I just teared up. An almost spiritual experience playing at an iconic course surrounded by such beauty.

One of the best breaking series. A great group of people, we feel your pain all the way but at the end it's all about the people you play with, the journey, not the actual scores...
