Me and my husband used to go out dancing he passed away before our 50th anniversary we used to go out dancing all the time I know you're feeling that's what I do I just hear the music close my eyes and pretend that we're dancing but he's gone home😢

I was raced in the barrios. Conjunto music everywhere. Cantinas in every corner. On my way to store I would peek and see the couples dancing to great music My grandfather always had the radio on to this music and even our Dr. The famous Dr Hector Garcia had the radio in his office playing to this music. It's in our blood and I love it. Especially when you're dancing with a good dancer. Cheek to cheek! 😂❤

I grew up with this music!! I met my husband in 97 and little did I know he loved Tejano. We danced our butts off back then. I was a groupie and I followed Michael Salgado to EVERY concert here in San Antonio back then. 🤣 We loved Hometown Boys, Eddie G, La Tropa F. Those were the days when real tejano was in!!! Ahhhh to go back to the good ole days!!!! 🤗❤️

I was born in Houston but moved to Michigan at the age of 11. The might've taken the boy out of Texas but never could take Texas out of the boy. I'm always listening to Tejano music.

I spent almost a year workin in Las Cruces N.M back in '95 . And being from Wiconsin , I grew up with Polka music in my blood . So it was to my GREAT satisfaction when I found a radio station from El Paso which played Tejano . It was my constant companion during working , and non-working hours . LOVE The Hometown Boys !!!!!!

My dad, Ismael Gonzalez was/ is puro Tejano, born & raised in Harlingen TX. My mom told me of how when he went back home to Texas. he went to a concert and the Hometown Boys were playing. She told me how The Hometown Boys made his day/ life when he was welcomed to hang out with the group. Thank you for your understanding of my dad battling with Parkinson’s and dementia. It reminded me of the day my dad came home to AZ talking about it. Showing me a picture the band autographed for him, that he hung in his party shed (a treasured memory). Still there today 3yrs after his passing. It is even more special today, as it was when the group gave it to him.. gracias a Dios that he was able to meet such a wonderful group of guys to make him feel special.

But I miss the city life and moved back to Chicago Illinois but I still listen to Tejano music. I did not even speak Spanish my parents never taught us I learned on my own when we would go to Texas to Wichita Falls all my cousins would speak Spanish and English and I never knew what they were talking about but I learned on my own and the music I felt that I was cheated by my parents thank you

My heart goes to the surviving family for losing their beloved sons and players since 1997 when they were so young. Life is too short and we never know when we depart. God bless them for the music they started and left us to enjoy. Let's hope their music is here to stay!!!

+Mikey30856 I do love her to death.... she bought me a house three days ago...aint drank in over a year now...but got to love the women...lol...she has no boys but I'm the strong one in my family and would go above and beyond for her...but she got on my nerves today...lol...but she is my life!!!...lol...hometown boys calmed me down and opened had to open it up!!!... life is not like it use to be...but I do treasure it!!... lol...and hell yeah...I bought plenty to go around to take a drink for all!!!... lol...

Tejanos are a mix of Spanish, Born in Spain ,& a later of Native Mexican Tribes etc. Etc. No Prejudice intent, just Forgotten History. Tejano Hispanic people supported & aided thè Anglos to establish the Republic of Texas. Tejano Origin Muzic, no doubt is tops amongst all other
