Is "snitching" ever justified? Was Tekashi 6ix9ine right? What if the people ain’t really your friends like that? Why did Rico kill Mitch? I have my own views but science and philosophy have a different explanation. Let’s explore the different types of friendships according to Aristotle.
Note: I originally wrote part II of the homies and planned to release next week, but decided to make it more relevant in light of recent events. I hope I did it justice.

This was very insightful Akhi, I am finding it a little difficult with the idea that Friends I’m closest with right now is just for pleasure and or utility, not for virtue. I feel as if , if I’m being real, I don’t have any friends I’d “die” for (if that’s a good measure of evaluating friendship by virtue). Help me with this moral conflict

And, forgive me for another question, do you feel we can achieve a long term state of ‘happiness’ or ‘content’ as I interpreted your fireflies video as you saying we live only for ‘moments’ which I agree to an extent. But do feel there is a state below that pureeee moment that we can settle down as long term happiness. Thoughts ?

Thanks! alot of it comes down to experience my bro. I think you need to have SPECIFIC experiences with certain friends to reveal their true nature. I've been in some mad situations (which you could compare to life or death - like almost getting stabbed etc) and they have proven to be there for me. Meaning that when you say "death" I feel what you mean. However, at the same time, there are certain people who i haven't been in that situation with, but that have been there for me when i most needed them and that has proved the extend of their friendship. My wife is my best friend, and we have never had to be in a physical altercation with anyone for her to prove that. you get what i'm saying? so don't feel bad now, but really find out things that are important to you and see how the friend you have enable you in that area, then the further you bring them into that part of your life you will find more clearly how close you are.

@@notacasual4595 my main purpose of the video was really to highlight how fleeting life is, and how much we spend of it distracted or in a depressive state. I think once you can appreciate the smaller moments they begin to accumulate into the longer-term happiness you referring too. Like having my son, the pregnancy was super difficult for my wife and we were in the hospital for 2 days. i realise how special that moment was and how grateful I should be for it. so now even when i'm tired and frustrated at him waking me up early or not sleeping at night, I still use that moment to be grateful for all the moments we will have moving forward God willin. (i ain't watched that video for a minute doh, so i might need to re-reference it, if i didn't answer you question.

If we didn't have any other reason I would've agreed with this theory, but all the shit about his homies fucking his baby moms or putting a hit out on him makes me think he got betrayed before he snitched

People be having all the money in the world and still get in gang crews and resort to violence and think its cool. Man can never be me. I'd enjoy that money.. so many things to do in life than gang banging and befriending sneaky friends.

people call him a snitched, but before he snitched they already kidnapped him, tried to kill him, kill his family, smash his girl. lets say he stayed in jail and didnt snitched they could of killed him in there. whats the point of being loyal to them. its either be loyal and killed in prison, or snitched and be free with the possibly of being killed outside. its an easy choice
