It was interesting that several of the very experienced guys at VFRW hadn't seen it either. It was apparently on a few of the 80s Hondas including the NT650(?). Now I'm kinda wondering if it was also standard on the VF500 from factory and mine had previously been replaced. Wish you were closer so I could drop off my tank and fairings for paint!

hah, this has nothing on the VTR you're dealing with now. I was pretty astonished how overly complicated and silly it is when watching your video.

That's certainly what I thought. I'm sitting here googling "motorcycle brake piston corks" like an idiot, and the parts diagram wasn't of any help. No information about them in the service manual that I could find either. Kind of a neat thing to learn though.

It certainly surprised me when I saw what I thought was cork inside of a brake component, hah.
