Hey Rob! Thanks for sharing your experience with my straps! Always a pleasure to see others enjoying my creations. And bring one of your less-worn pieces back into rotation :D Cheers!

Wearing comfort is unmatched, this is The comfort King. Three reasons, the slight nap to the band is softer to the touch than any nato, the thing is elastic with a great balance of stability with give, and no hardware or end seam of the strap's construction touches one's skin.

Does it has that elastic strong smell?

It's basically a bra strap, but for watches

Excellent. I will be able to remove my watch in less than 3 seconds.

I think you should have shown us assembly with steel hardware so it would be easier to see. I also think you should have shown how to adjust it to make it tighter and looser.. Lastly, I'm sure this is very comfortable but I'm not sure how I feel about a stretchy nylon wrapped around springbars, that doesn't cross the bottom of the watch. You lose a spring bar and you lose your watch. And unlike a nice steel bracelet with solid end links, those springbars are in a very vulnerable position.

Thanks for the link. He has some cool designs. Ill be trying his leather stud straps. Just what I was looking for.

The hook strap is amazing! Have two, just ordered another one. Only comfortable way to wear large pieces. Takes a bit to figure out but easy now. To tighten, just pull on the strap farthest from your wrist. Never unhook it to remove or install on your wrist. Just stretch it. Really is great, looks great too. Made in US as well. Buy heavy duty spring bars if concerned. Not sure I ever broke one. Lead time is tough though..

Pretty cool strap. It seems a bit fiddle to setup, but maybe once u get used to it it may not be as much. I think that material is like what Watch Steward has also. They make their straps in at least 2 different strap materials. There is softer one which resembles this one.nit, I think that may only be a partial option in 20mm straps.

I've known Nick for over a year. Great guy! I have over 10 of his leather straps. And I think you should at least try the leather ruler stud strap he has. It's a single pass but I love it and pretty much everything he makes. The cap strap for summer BBQs is in my must wears. I know not everyone will like these and no have EO and TWS ones. I actually call these hook straps his bra straps. Lol I let him know that every time I wear this strap lol.

I bought one and fitted it to my gold turtle. The strap was fiddly to put on, but once you figure it out - not too bad at all. I ordered plain black with bronze hooks. My wrist is pretty small, so I ordered the smallest size. It's a tight fit, I'd recommend one size larger than you need. Overall, let's see how it goes.

I prefer this over NATOs and the EO MN! Great stuff!

I have the same STO Turtle and found that bracelets don't match very well it, probably because of the PVD bezel and crown. I've found that a black or navy blue strap to be a better aesthetic pairing. These stretchy material straps are all the rage now, aren't they? The one thing I don't like about the Erika's Original strap is the attachment clasp -- it can take quite a few attempts before it finally catches. This Mankey Design strap, like the Watch Steward straps, certainly makes it easier than Erika's.

I have a couple NMD watch straps and like them, but damn waiting 8+ weeks, for one in in the 21st century, sucks. He needs to hire some help.

a better price then erica's original straps but when you add shipping, tax and import fees it is 62 dollars :( why do almost all strap makers live in the U.S. the only European one i know is erica's original

I have a Watch Steward and hate how it won't wrap around spring bars and hug them tightly. Is this Nick Mankey strap better at that?
@YouKnowThatsRightSS5 жыл бұрын
@@clarkindrajit9353 I think it depends on how much room you got between the lugs and the case, but in terms of comfort this is way better than watch steward
@clarkindrajit93535 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Is it more like the left or right picture in terms of hugging the lugs? imgur.com/B5oQZnD

But if a springbar fails you lose the watch... It is a conundrum. Added security of a NATO or ZULU, or the lower profile and added comfort of something like this.
@sautante4 жыл бұрын
For this strap there is no conundrum did u see the beginning where the strap went under the watch? If the springbar fails it'll still be attached to the strap.
@ivermec-tin6664 жыл бұрын
@@sautante This design has the watch case directly on your wrist. If a spring bar fails, the strap will still be attached to the remaining spring bar, but the whole assembly will be at the bottom of the ocean. I don't think I would use this for diving, but for everyday ware it looks interesting... unless you live in a very hot climate.

Have you reviewed the Minimalist strap from The Watch Steward? In my opinion a better less cumbersome mechanism that NMD. Check it out! I have a couple in addition to a regular TWS strap. The minimalist is the most comfortable strap I’ve found. Great review as always!
