The Horrible Situation of Tech Industry in Bangladesh

Can you imagine being an engineer who recently graduated from a good college of Bangladesh and earning less than 25,000 Taka per month in a city like Dhaka?
I didn’t want to start 2023 with a negative video but I feel we need a wake up call early on so that we can be prepared early before it’s too late.
Comment below what’s your opinion on this. Do you think office workers get paid enough in Bangladesh?
Why don’t people return to Bangladesh after studying abroad? This video will give you the answer.

This kinds of videos is much needed to raise a concern. I am currently studying in CSE and I have just finished my first year at a mid level private university. I had no idea about the job field of tech industry in our country. This is very much worrying for me when I think of my future.

ভাই আমি আপনাকে ধন্যবাদ জানাই এই ভিডিও দেওয়ার জন্য। আমি first year of uni এর দিকে ইন্ডিয়ার কিছু ভিডিও দেখে coding শিক্ষা শুরু করি । কিন্তু পরে job market এর কথা জানার পর if felt so bad that .আমি ৬ মাসের জন্য coding ছেরে দেই । this kind of things are heart breaking . কিন্ত আমি যা বুঝলাম remote job ছাড়া এই দেশে ভালো থাকার কোনো উপায় নাই । তাই যারা আমার মত হাল ছেড়ে দিয়েছে তাদের বলবো এখন ও সময় আছে । আমি currently জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এর মত একটা institute এ পরি । comment করে রেখে গেলাম successful হয়ে এসে replay দিব ইনশাল্লাহ

9-5 হলেও চলতো। এখানে সফটওয়্যার ইঞ্জিনিয়ারদের ৯+ ঘণ্টা খাটানো হয়, মাঝে মধ্যে ১০-১১ ঘণ্টাও হয়ে যায়। বাট বেতন ওই ২০-২৫ হাজারই।

Every uni here offers CSE degree and a lot of students are gaining that degree without having least knowledge of computer. As the market is oversaturated, so the tech companies are just using this as opportunity to save few bucks. You can do some research on how the salary of a computer engineer decreased in Bangladesh in past 15 years. And also do a research on the number of CSE graduates every year. Then you can understand the real scenery here.

The underlying problem is lobbing. They call it reference but actually it's bullshit. I have a lot of batchmates who can't even code and know nothing about cloud but they are getting recruited as cloud specialist. when incompetent people get jobs they won't even ask for a pay raise while a lot of the competent one's lose confidence through rejection.

IIT fresh graduates average salary around 10-20 Lakhs PA INR, other Universities graduates average 5-15 Lakhs PA INR. Only few handful of graduates got 50 Lakhs to 1 CR PA INR job offers.

This is the Btech avg. Btech CSE graduates fare much better than this in IITs , NITs all the good private colleges in India.

Vaiya, আমি যদি BUET 1ST YEAR এ থাকা অবস্থায় Harvard এ 1st Year Student হিসেবে নতুন Batch এ অংশ নিতে পারি? মানে আমি BUET এ ১ বছর মতো পড়ে কি Harvard এ Fresher হিসেবে Undergraduate পড়তে Application করতে পারবো?

I have seen your video and I figured out that you are delivering wrong information to your audience. I am also a computer science graduate from IIT. I am also working in the tech sector for last more than 2 years in India. But the scale of pay is totally different what you are saying. When I started I used to earn around INR 28 LPA as a fresher working in top tech startup. I had friends who are working in FAANG company. They are earning around 60-70 LPA AFTER 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. EARNING IN CRORES AS A FRESHER IS TOTALLY A FALSE INFORMATION
