The HORRIFIC Execution Of Mussolini's FORGOTTEN First Son

During the Second World War, Italy and Germany were united under the Axis Alliance. Benito Mussolini, the Fascist Dictator of Italy and Adolf Hitler were very close friends and they met a number of times during the conflict to discuss their joint war effort. But Mussolini rose to power years before Hitler did within Germany, but there was a dirty secret the Italian Dictator had with regards to the fact he was technically a bigamist. These claims could have caused him to lose a great deal of favour during his early days as Prime Minister of Italy, but his treatment of his first wife and also his first son was disgusting. It's alleged that Mussolini organised the killing of his wife and also his son.
Ida Dalser and Mussolini met in Milan and Dalser owned a beauty salon in the city, but she eventually sold it to fund Mussolini's new enterprise, a newspaper that he was writing. She fell head over heels for him and gave him lots of money, and they did marry around 1914. Dalser, (Mussolini's first wife) then became pregnant and gave birth to a son which was named after his father, Benito Albino Mussolini. However before the son was born, Mussolini had already left Dalser was then married Rachele Guidi. This meant he had two marriages, and Mussolini left his son and had nothing to do with the boy named after him.
But when Mussolini rose to power in Italy, it was dangerous for him to have any scandal. He tried to silence his first wife and also his son. His son, Benito Albino Mussolini was a member of the Italian Navy, and he told many people who his father was. His mother Dalser was silenced as she was locked up inside of a mental hospital before she died in 1937, but Benito Mussolini Junior also suffered a horrific fate. As he continued to tell people who his father was, he was arrested and placed inside a mental institution, but it was here where in 1942 he died. It's believed that upon the orders of his father, Mussolini Junior was murdered using a lethal injection, or was killed by electric shock therapy. With this it's easy to link the fact Mussolini wanted to silence his son and the killing of him, and it draws parallels to an organised execution. The story of Ida Dalser and Benito Mussolini Junior are incredibly sad.

I spent a lot of time in Italy since 2015, and I went to the site off of Lake Cuomo where they executed him and his lover Clara Petacci. My fiance at the time who lived in Milano took care of an 95 year old woman. She told us she remembered the day they brought his body to Milano and strung him upside down at a gas station, she said the crowd was big and all fired up. It was interesting talking to a woman that was actually there on that day in April 1945, I know this video was about Mussolini's son but this came to mind so I thought I'd share.

you may want to believe that at some level justice is equal and those that deserve to be treated badly are treated badly in a place called hell . the simple truth is that when we die all that dies is our memories. nothing ever leaves the planet , truth + history and a medium to communicate it is all we have to prevent it from repeating. the real judgment would have been to keep this pos alive and make him pay for what he has done and if physically possible keep him alive to this day that would have been the only true justice. he got off easy !

This evokes all kinds of powerful sentiments that a hardened studier of this period considered himself immune to. I endorse completely your statement that this story needs to be told, but challenge your use of the word "execution". Execution right or wrong refers to a legal process and its culmination. There does not seem to be anything here that is legally enforced. The word also gives legitimacy to the act. I have heard various apologists for this apology of a man - that he drained the Pontine Marshes, that he initially actively opposed Hitler's anti-semitic legislation before acquiescing to Nazi pressure to bring in some of his own, that he had begun by supporting the allies and had prevented Hitler's annexation of Austria in 1934, that he destroyed the Mafia in Sicily and thwarted organised crime in the peninsular, that he made the trains run on time and that he was misunderstood. Often apologists for autocrats can salvage some small scrapings of decency out of their personal lives, but with Mussolini there is none. He sunk below the level of a Stepford husband.

At least Stalin didn't kill his own son. Mussolini literally ordered his sons execution like he was nothing, he also never was there for his son or took care of him and this video shows he never even saw him he never meet him. As ruthless as Stalin was at least he let his sons live with him and took family photos to portray himself as a loving father. He was also reportedly very upset at hjs sons death in the German camp. Mussolini on the other hand managed to be more horrible in this situation.

Power and Greed will corrupt quicker than anything one can ever imagine. So many down throughout history have been corrupted by money and power and in doing so they lost all of their humanity to the point that death of others meant nothing to them at all. You can go into a situation with the best of intentions and when money and power is offered up more often than not you soon become a shell of your former self.

I recall a news story from about the mid 1970's which identified a frenchman who was the illegitimate son of Adolph Hitler. Apparently Hitler had a relationship with a French woman during WW1 and the son was the product of it. He even looked a bit like Hitler, as I recall. But I've seen few stories about it since then. I believe Italy was originally in the 'Triple Alliance', which included Germany and Austria-Hungary. The Triple Entente was Russia, France, and Britain. So at the start of the war, France was not aligned with Italy. Italy decided not to enter the war in 1914 with Germany, Austria-Hungary, which also included Bulgaria and Turkey{Gallipoli landings}. Italy decided to enter the war in 1915, but on the side of France, Britain and Russia.
