If you was a old as me you'd remember a TV show from the 60's called Mr. Ed about a horse of that name that talked. I used to love that show and it was the start of me loving horses, especially Palominos cuz that's what Ed was. ❤

They are all cute: but none of them cuddles like my friend's Arabian horse. She'd reach over the top rail, over our shoulder, then tuck her lower jawbone against our shoulder blade, and she'd pull us in against her. She'd literally give us a hug. Then we'd reach up to wrap our arms up both sides of her neck to hug her back. We'd both relax into the hug and be in a state of shared peace together. That was thirty years ago. I still remember that horse's hugs.🥰

At a late age, I am enjoying learning about horses and was not aware that they could enjoy cuddles. Thank you.

My thoroughbred mare that I raised from a yearling, was in a run in shed during the winter. I would bring a bucket of hot water down to her with her evening feed. She was alone in the winter and would get lonely. I would sit on the stoop and she would come behind me and rest her chin in my shoulder I would talk to her and rub her head. We did this until I got too cold and had to leave her.I always felt sorry when I left and she would neigh after me hoping I would come back. She was gentle and kind and loved children. She was also very fast and athletic and a good jumper. We had a strong connection.

Mine would never do that with a stranger. She never wanted human affection until I came in. Years later, I purchased her and im still the only one she will accpet and enjoy cuddles from. Makes me love her even more. Took forever for her to show she enjoyed some cuddles here and there. Now she neck hugs and ask to be rubbed on the belly and thighs when Im around.

All of them are very sweet and I'm sure if they were cuddled daily they'd get better at it. The best initially was Rolex. Somebody used to cuddle that boy. 🥰

All the Arabs adored cuddles, apart from one. Usually their lips trembled. Even the stallions went as soft as eiderdown. And scratching in favourite spots left them ecstatic. One used to scrabble the floor with his hooves so we rarely did it in case he fell over. The mares do become more loving as the pregnancy advances, but when they get very large they often prefer to be left alone. More videos like this, please!

My paint mare - now 23 3/4 yrs old….(had her since she was 10) -and she has NEVER been a cuddly girl - a big disappointment to me as my previous horse would run up to meet me and cuddle all day…..BUT my current girl is the most trustworthy horse and the best ride.

that's cuddling? more like a massage or scratching. I scratch my horses all the time or massage their necks and chest during cleaning and sometimes even during riding. Of course they like that.
