The Horseshoe Nail Heart

In this video I cover how to create a decorative heart from a #16 horseshoe nail, a hand full of pliers and a propane/map torch.. These are great for necklaces and bracelets and the ladies love them. Perfect for any occasion.

I am just beginning to smith, wouldn't be easier to crease the V shape if you used a cold chisel to score the center line before bending? Or would that make it too brittle?
