Thank you 60 Minutes and Anderson Cooper for bringing to light the travesty perpetuated against Cambodia in the looting of their national treasures. This looting was also taking place in Lao and Thailand. During this time period (2000-2015) I lived in what is referred to as the Asian Emerald Triangle, where Cambodia, Laos and Thailand intersect. These remote rural locations allowed the widespread looting, even the government militaries participated in these thefts.

Much like the Benin artifacts being stolen, and basically everywhere colonialism happened. Empires stole priceless artifacts to legally keep them in its museums. Good investigative journalism on a topic that museums "want" to return artifacts, but will never return unless pressured.

The portrayal of the kidnapper as sexual hungry animal throughout the interview intentionally is very low journalism and biased reporting. Other than that, I'm so glad she is back safe with her family and hope for the genocide to stop and both sides hostages to be released.

I agree with the last part of your comment, and I can understand where you are coming from with the fist part. But what should they have done differently? Should they have said cut and stopped the interview and then told the kidnapping victim "hey, you can't tell exactly what happened, what you were afraid of and how you felt", and then started filming again?

How can Israel sustain its unity after October 7? Since the October 7 attack, we are not expressing hatred toward each other because our pain is much greater. But we are not far from how things were before October 7. We could return to that previous state in a matter of days. It is also important to note that our divisiveness throughout the year weakened us and strengthened those who wished to attack us. A captured Hamas terrorist who participated in the October 7 attacks stated how the ongoing protests and demonstrations in Israel encouraged Hamas during their preparations for the attack. When outside influences that pressure the formation of our unity move away, internal feelings of hatred resurface. We might believe that coming closer during tough times lets us develop while maintaining that closeness. However, this idea is incorrect. We need to undergo a reset and rebuild our unity from scratch, without external pressure dictating our actions but out of our own choice to live in a common connection to each other, with a spirit of unity, support, care, encouragement and closeness dwelling in our relations. When we are in a conflict of opinions, we need to equally respect those who we are against, acknowledging that they might also be right and have their own opinions, and that their opinions represent other people and citizens. Thus, we indeed should take heed to treat each other with more kindness. Unity means that we are ready to set aside our own opinions in order to unite with others.

My husband is a Palestinian immigrant to America. He left his entire family behind to escape this hell. That was several years ago. The Palestinian people have been living for 50 years under hellish occupation. I love Jewish people and I love Palestinian people but you can only treat people as caged animals before they assemble (in this case as Hamas) and rebel against the brutal occupation. Occupation is a sanitized word for a brutal takeover and the constant violence, oppression, and trauma inflicted on the Palestinian people on a daily basis by the IDF.

As Yarden said, you can't ignore or mentally escape a war zone. The released hostages should tell the Israeli govt what it's like so hopefully, they can see the Palestinians, who have lived this for decades, as human.

Did you miss the footage that showed how humane they were as the hostages were being shown off? A real human would have been trying to stop it. They are as guilty as Hamas

I agree Hamas is a terrorist group but collective punishment is a war crime 50% of the current population are youths and did not even participate in said election these people are without food water and electricity. Israel has a right to defense against Hamas that does not mean 2 million innocent civilians should starve, that's collective punishment and constitutes a heinous war crime. Source: Collective punishment is prohibited by treaty in both international and non-international armed conflicts, more specifically Common Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention and Article 4 of the Additional Protocol II.

God loves you and takes care of you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this great universe and has complete control over it. And the greatest loss that a person loses in this life is that he lives while he does not know God who created him, knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. The great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and then you have the choice to believe in it or not. I advise you on this now before you do not have time to do that.
