4:36 multikicker contributes to converted mana cost The converted mana cost of a spell is the amount of mana spent on that spell when it is placed on the stack For example, devils play with 5 mana into ‘x’ has a cmc of 6 In this way chalice is an amazing cheap mana rock early game or can be a huge orc generator late game

From what I’ve read you are correct when it comes to X mana spells like Devils play which would have the mana value be equal to whatever you choose as X + any pips. I’ve not seen the same for kicker or multi kicker being added onto the mana value of the spell, but would happily change my mind about the chalice upon seeing the ruling that makes it so.

@@mtgmonkeys i think you are right, which if true means this mana rock is even more trash in the Zhulodok precon. Oh man, i thought at least it could be cast for 8 mana late game. Nope , no impact at all

I actually like Shriekmaw a bit more since you can send it right to the GY with Evoke

If I use "malakir rebirth" on "Monstrosity of the lake" and it dies while blocking. When it returns to the battlefield can I pay five manor and tap all my opponents attacking creatures, interrupting his play?
