@@adewit03 he was an 8 year old kid when the civil war happened, only grown men and teenagers older than 15 took part in the war, he was still child, unlike bantu or nilote countries in Africa, somalis do not use underage child soldiers in their clan wars, our clan wars only use either grown men, or teenagers that are over 15

that waving flag song was quite easily boring to listen to when i was a kid in 2010 but when i listen again at 26, this song will never be boring anymore, i understand the lyrics finally(non-native eng). Its so related, esp to fellas who grow up in developing country, and theres no point of staying.

his name is pure Somali word not an arabic word which is k'naan means traveler whichs given people who are born in some kind of journey or when travelling

@@mahjoubeldoma7248 well, you're kind of right, the somali name Kaynaan, is the same as the name of Canaan son of Cush son of Ham son of Noah (according to the old testament bible), the name is a very ancient afroasiatic word, in Somali, a Cushitic Afroasiatic language, Kaynaan means 'lowland plateau with fresh vegetation that has received rain' Although the word Kaynaan is a pure Somali Cushitic Afroasiatic word, it comes from the same cognate and linguistic origin as the word Canaan in the hebrew Bible, and Kan'aan in Arabic
