@@charliefiggins5923 that's because of the fact that he was rebuilt with pieces of his body that was left in the lab in the first game. Its most likely that those are either muscles with missing parts or giant mutant worms that would've grown on his leftover body parts in Curien's lab. Nonetheless, he's the greatest lightgun shooter boss ever created and the character with the best voice acting in all of The House Of The Dead titles.

Fun fact: in house of the dead 2 if u are flawlessly fighting magician (no damage) His trail turns white, which we can assume is him getting pissed

@@9another632 its definitely not texture issue as after u get damaged during his white trail phase, the trail goes back to red and blue again (At least from my experience)

Man they have nerf our Magician really bad in the remake just because it is release for the switch but atleast gave us a proper fight, the remake magician was like; "Ohh, I've been hit, wait for the next blast...", I felt that the hotd 4 magician was the best fanservice so far...🤣🤣🤣

HOD 2 version was the weakest, HOD 1 he had a genuin horror vibe, was faster needed more bullets had mopre health and his final attack he threw the fireballs up and you couldnt't shoot him until shooting them all down.

In HOD 2 he has lower health, takes half the time and shoots the fireballs down and you can kill him quickly even without shooting them, only kids who never played OG HOD 1 will say what you said lol!

@@sleepykenji it's quite understandable tbh 1. The reason why they didn't use or at least remix Magician's original battle theme is because if copyrights but they did their best to get the feeling of the original 2. The original source codes of the original game is missing why is why most parts of the game are made manually including camera view, movements and etc... But you can tell they really put their best to recreate the whole game

He is weakest in HOD 2, during his final attack he can be shot directly, while in HOD 1 he was faster and took lot more bullets to get damage and final attack he threw the fireballs upwards and could not be shot while shooting the fireballs down. HOD 2 also made him second fiddle to Emperor which itself is the weakest final boss in the series with the easily shootable poorly covered heart ( wheel of Fate and world were way better) Glad HOD 4 Special made Magician strong again.
