It's Mongol throat singing, the instruments are native to that region. And we are talking Genghis Khan ancestors man, these men's ancestors once rules nearly the whole world. The Mongols are the greatest warriors of all time in terms of lands conquered.

The Hu (stylized as The HU) is a Mongolian folk rock and heavy metal band formed in 2016.[1] With traditional Mongolian instrumentation, including the Morin khuur, the Tovshuur, and Mongolian throat singing, the band calls their style of music "hunnu rock", hu inspired by the Hunnu, an ancient Mongol/Turkic empire, known as Xiongnu in Mongolia. Some of the band's lyrics include old Mongolian war cries and poetry. The band say they didn't choose their name as a play on the Who's, but because “hu” is the root word for human being in Mongolian. “We took the name because of the inclusive nature,” Temka said. “It's not about being Mongolian. It's about being human.” At the same time, Mongolian themes dominate the band's lyrics.22 Oct 2019. Genghis Khan, Genghis also spelled Chinggis, Chingis, Jenghiz, or Jinghis, original name Temüjin, also spelled Temuchin, (born 1162, near Lake Baikal, Mongolia-died August 18, 1227), Mongolian warrior-ruler, one of the most famous conquerors of history, who consolidated tribes into a unified Mongolia and then extended his empire across Asia to the Adriatic Sea. Peace out.

Yaaasssss! I'm an Aussie and I've been enjoying all the Aussie content, but I've been dying for you to react to The Hu. They're Mongolian and the instruments are traditional horsehair string instruments. The signing is Mongolian throat singing, they are actually able to produce 2 different notes simultaneously, you need to look that one up you'll be blown away. And yes, they're singing about their cultural heritage, the Mongolian people and the Khan they mention is Genghis Khan. Another great rock tune from The Hu is Yuve Yuve Yu.

The call their music ‘Hunnish Rock’ Hunnu Rock", "Hunnu" is being the Mongolian word for the Xiongnu, an ancient civilisation located in the Eurasian steppes. Wolf Totem is based on an ancient battle cry, other songs by them are adaptions of ancient Mongolian poetry. All the 8 band members (only 4 of whom are seen on this video) went to the Ulaanbaatar Conservatory of Music. The band member who is only singing is Jaya and he was the teacher of some of the younger members of the band.

Their ancestors were the Mongols who swept across Asia and eastern Europe like a military tsunami under the leadership of Genghis Khan, leaving devastation in their wake. They now live peacefully but their environment and culture still keep them tough and hard. The song is about trading in their horses for motorcycles and the spirit of their ancestors making them the ultimate biker gang.

You definitely should check out their song....Song of Woman featuring Lizzy Hale from Halestorm. The Hu is a Mongolian Rock group that incorporates traditional Mongolian musical elements, lyric content, and vocal styles with the more modern musical genre of Rock and Roll (specifically metal). The beginning of The Wolf Totem with the horse riding warrior cameo...then showing the motorcycle riders is symbolic of their past historical heritage as accomplished world conquering horse soldiers vs modern historical reference of a 'warrior' now astride an Ironhorse...or motorcycle.

One of my employees is Mongolian. He explained a few things to me about The Hu songs. Wolf Totem is actually a warning war chant from the ancient scroll of Mongolia. If someone comes in with bad intentions, they're going to defend their land no matter who you are. Song of Women is not for women. It's more like a reminder to man. The right woman molds you, stands behind you and makes you happy. If you want to keep that woman, family, and land be a man like a well-sharpened sword and arrow in a well-aimed bow. Stay on the right path, follow your elder's word, be brave to defend your loved ones. Don't lose yourself. Lzzy Hale's version is a little bit different. The Legend of Swan is an old folk tale. It's about parents' love for their children.

Few people are aware of the history of the Mongols. An international group of geneticists studying Y-chromosome data have found that nearly 8 percent of the men living in the region of the former Mongol empire carry y-chromosomes that are nearly identical. That translates to 0.5 percent of the male population in the world, or roughly 16 million descendants living TODAY. Khan's empire at the time of his death extended across Asia, from the Pacific Ocean to the Caspian Sea. His military conquests were frequently characterized by the wholesale slaughter of the vanquished. His descendants extended the empire and maintained power in the region for several hundred years, in civilizations in which harems and concubines were the norm. Documents written during or just after Khan's reign say that after a conquest, looting, pillaging, and rape were the spoils of war for all soldiers, but that Khan got first pick of the beautiful women. His grandson, Kubilai Khan, who established the Yuan Dynasty in China, had 22 legitimate sons, and was reported to have added 30 virgins to his harem each year.

The Hu have now appeared in many countries including the US. to great acclaim. I've been listening to them for a long time. They're saying if you come, we will fight. It's about defending their territory. Another of their early ones was Yuve Yuve Yu, meaning How sad. Snce the days of the great Chinggis Khan they have been under Chinese or Russian rule, but are now independant, but sad for the great nation they once were.

This song is basically a "don't waver, be a warrior" type of song, and the lyrics are from an old war chant, the 10, 100, 1000, 10k section is about the units from the old Mongolian Horde military. Their music is all about honoring their country and ancestors. I saw someone say once that Lions, Tigers and Elephants are supposed to be nearby lands (like Russia, India and such) but I don't know how true it is.

The bow instruments played by Galaa and Enkush are morin khuurs (horse head fiddles). These ones are modernise versions of tradition instruments. They have two strings. Traditionally the male string was made from 130 hairs from a stallion tail, the female string was made from 105 hairs from a mare’s tail. The other instrument is a tovshuur (Mongolians). It is also an modernised version. The tovshuur has either two of three strings, in this case Temka’s instrument has three.

Chinggis,. (or Gengis Kahn) was a warlord who in the 13th century who united the Mongols and invaded and captured nearly all of Asia, and a good part of eastern Europe, founding the Mongolian Empire, which was to become, under his grandson, the largest empire in the world. It remains the largest single country in land area to have ever existed on Earth. Chinggis was instrumental in the conquering and managing of the Empire, requiring strict codes of combat and behavior for his warriors. Many Mongolians to this day remain proud of this heritage. More than 8% of humans alive today have DNA traceable to Chinggis (mostly in Northeastern China, Siberia, and Mongolia). He had a lot of wives.

Now he gotta listen to my boys Bai Terek, they're from the autonomous Altai region of Russia (I would call it the Altai nation really) and they use similar throat singing techniques. The Altai language is a Turkic language (I can't remember if Mongolian also falls under the Turkic banner, but I'm almost 100% sure that it does), and traditional Altai music does a lot of mimicking of the sounds of nature. Stumbled upon them accidentally one day after they were on the Russian channel BEK and subscribed to them and have been an avid listener since.

the wolf totem is the staff the rider was holding on horseback it is the symbol mongels use when going to war when other countries used a flag as a banner for troops to rally to. the song comes from a poem of a great mongel general that is the opening lyrics basicly a battle cry before entering into battle it is used here by the Hu as way of saying we wil dominate the world of music as our great khan ghengis nearly conquered all of europe for the mongel come to rule music.

Genghis Khan basically (short version) conquered a huge hunk of the world including a lot of Asia and China, Russia, India... it was pretty sweeping. If you like history it's pretty fascinating when you think that he lived from 1162 to 1227 which is before Europe's medieval period.

Yes, it’s a cultural thing. In the 13th century the Mongolian Empire ruled 3/4 of the continent of Asia. The “Great Khaan Chinggis” they mention most people know as Ghengis Khaan. This song is a Golden Horde War Chant that the HU put to music, the cinematography they blend the old Mongolian Warriors with the Modern Mongolian Warriors.

Ps. wolf is our soul animal in turkey too btw since you can not leash a wolf it kills itself (that is what is believed. ) and it acts like a pack... it semms as very powerfull and mystic animal... i think also in mongolia wolf is really precious... wolf can live anywhere if it has its pack... like you can find wolfpack in america , in turkey and in mongolia... it survives together... edit 2. never underestimate mongolian throat singing it is really special it is really unique thing and perfect.

Welcome to the next level of Music you have now reached the feet of Siberia. Head North and visit the group Olox. Then head east and listen to Nyttland and then old Germania (Scandinavia) and get amazed by Heilung. And Eivor and kalandra. You reached your destinatio. When you get to Aurora which you already know.

Yeah, the message is clear - "Don't F with us or we'll F you up bad." :D Medieval Mongol war chant, actually. Around when they conquered Eastern Europe. ;)

This is who the Hu (I know, real bad) are singing about: Genghis Khan of the Mongols, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genghis_Khan But they're not all blood and guts. Listen to "Song of Women" performed with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm singing "Song of Women" as these men sing about their mothers: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o8p-ZLhqs9zZeZc.html

When I saw people from Mongolia and some of the people from Inner Mongolia (which is a province of China) I could help but see similarities with the Maori's and other pacific islanders.

Let me clear for you, Mongol Empire is known as biggest contiguous empire ever in the world history, They killed 11% of world population at the time. The "Khan" name is very popular, it means King in Mongolian.

Yes. Lyrics are perhaps confusing to you. But for us Mongols it matches today's political situation. We are divided now by 2 groups, ordinary people and corrupted officials in power.
