Sama'Rock Festival was proud to welcome first Mongolian band and it was a very special occasion. The Hu play Hunnu rock, a unique local genre that combines metal with traditional Mongolian folk instruments and throat singing.

I love the "HU". When ever we love a band then we have a liking of a band member. In my case it is the gentlemen with the long hair like I once had until I donated my hair to ladies with cancer. I did not know that the HU member that I associate with was the lead singer until watching this video.20190613. So that is awesome. My Horse Head Fiddle would be Purple with Gold accents. Diamond eyes and diamond accents with platinum tensile for the main and tail. Just my thoughts. Blessing Turbo

I find it absolutely astonishing that nations and cultures eternally separated by land and sea can all arrive at music that has so much in common. This music of ancient Mongolia, is like the twin sister of Germanic and Nordic music. Even the language, its emphasis, and stresses sound similar to Old Norse. Particularly the rolls. It is almost like these different peoples are drawing from the same independently existing musical ether.
