The Hunters Call Emissary in Sea of Thieves! These are the quests, system and rewards that Rare should add into the game, in my opinion. The Hunters Call Emissary has been a highly requested update into Sea of Thieves for a long time; this video shows my ideas and thoughts that could be implemented with the next Hunters Call update, let me know what you think!

It's a cool idea, but I don't think anyone would take the time to do fishing quests. It sounds about as fun as catching animals. I think the bounty idea is neat, and maybe the hunter's call gives you a square on the map to go to and once you get there, ocean crawlers board your ship and sirens spawn in the water. It would also be cool if they could give you quests to hunt down sea monsters such as megs, krakens and maybe new monsters just for the hunter's call (ex. a Hydra living in a coastal cave, or a sea serpent)

I may have been wrong to say that NOBODY would do them but most people wouldn't. Let's be honest, if you don't do animal voyages regularly then you wouldn't do more than a few fishing voyages after the novelty wears off.

As someone who sometimes fishes this is the first concept of the rebrand of the hunters call i like. Keeping the general progression system and not changing it up to much, meanwhile making it more excesable for everyone👍

Love all the ideas. I also feel that along side the Siren and Shark Bounties, there should be Kraken and Megalodon bounty voyages too. I know that the Kraken would likely have to be completely reworked (Rare Moment), as currently it’s technically classified as a world event right now. I think it would also be reasonable to have both the Bounty Kraken and the Bounty Megalodon actually be challenging fights. For the Megalodon specifically, it would be somewhere between the current fight that we get just by sailing, and the original difficulty when it came out in The Hungering Deep update. The Kraken’s difficulty would also be scaled to be at a similar difficulty. Likely meaning it would simply Wrap, Slam, or Suck more frequently, or deal more damage with its wrap and slam attacks, or perhaps just simply have more tentacles that have to be defeated.

I think player mercenaries should be a thing, like you could get hired by other crews to protect them and it would take money out of their pockets automatically

You can get the shadow storm fishes at the sea dog taevern if the strom is there and the bait storage crate is coming in the next season

I’d say the combat, instead of sirens, would be against Megas and Krakens. Make it a lot easier to find Shrouded Ghost.

Bait crates are coming but I have for a long time thought that bounty voyage quests for Megs, Krakens, etc would be an amazing idea! As well as a HC emissary system. Your fishing and bait idea is a good one… But the most realistic and easy to work into the existing game would be to send HC emissaries out to find, defeat, and bring back the mega monsters of the deep (just spawn them more often). I’m truly hoping this is something they will include in the future!

Love the concepts ❤. Would be cool if they had a lost shipment type quest, follow the clues and find the ship that had been sunk by Meg or Kraken with a guaranteed spawn. Sirens protect the clues in the water and ocean crawlers any that would be on land.

How about something that Merrick would've been proud of. We have a shanty "Summon the Megalodon". How about: - you follow a map for clues on a sunken fisherman ship - you find the ship, search for clues: that is Megalodon tooth - you bring tooth to nearest sea outpost, you're given Merrick's map: an item which containst Megalodon's location, in order to make it a bit harder you can see only shore part of an island, and it's drawn by Merrick - you go to that location and play the shanty - you fight Megalodon - your reward is meg meat (aka. PvP food), Meg's standard loot, and remember how fisherman ship was sunken: a barrel with rare fish worth at least 50k

What about the shrouded ghost quest from before but u dont need more than 1 crew but is a lvl 50+ hunters call quest. You could also have quests for megaladon and kraken.

I want them to update Hunters call more than anyone but going down the traditional emissary route gives the Reapers no incentive to attack people with this emissary because you can't sell cooked meat to the Reapers Bones. There needs to be some added bonus for attacking people who run this emissary or otherwise there's literally no downside to use this to obtain pirate legend.

They can do something similar to Assassins Creed Black Flag with hunting whales and sharks, also skinning animals on islands, they just have to add the creatures and their behaviors. This could add life to the game and more interactions with the environment, not only the snakes will attack you on the islands but also tigers or leopards, maybe monkeys that steal resources from your inventory or another sea monster, like the giant crabs that everyone expects, crocodiles and anacondas in the lagoons inside the larger islands. more aquatic life such as manta rays, octopus, jellyfish, sea snakes, dolphins and turtles To optimize they could only spawn when you have a hunting mission or spend a certain time on an island or in the water, or limiting the areas where each creature lives, forcing you to go around the map to find all of them and not saturate all the islands and water areas with these new creatures

It would be cool if along the hot spots and bait bounties after like level 25 you will get a voyage to take down a megalodon and having the extremly low chance of being a shrouded ghost

Technically the hunters did have quests at one point and it was during a Christmas update or event or something and made you go to an island catch a certain species of fish in a certain area and then that's it it was not good

I like your bucket of bait idea I had a similar idea like that by buffing the rep giving by krackens and megaladons and having different value of meat for the you could have vogue's In which you looks for a horn or some sort of bait to summon a megalodon or kraken higher the rep higher quality meat

how about introducing nets? maybe a voyage, where you have to throw the net out on a specific route, just like the Merchant-voyage ? maybe introduce shoals of fish? Nets are then mounted on the sides or on the back of the ships, and they have to be hand-reeled... but where to put the fish, when you caught it??? hmmm

I still can't see an emmisary flag for Hunter's Call. As much as Reapers would like another flag to farm, I see HC as true outsiders. Selling to Sovereigns was a convenince and I'm glad it made Serik raise prices for sold goods. But they still have no outpost representation. Fish and TRASH have always been useless for Flameheart. I could see a TRASH voyage, where you literally collect old boots, hats with holes and fishbone. Like at Tribute Peak, but less tedious. It would be a lot of work, but I would love big boss animals. Ultravenomous Snake, giant boar and a big angry rooster. As for "emmisary ledger" I can imagine a "menu" where you can fill fish request, refreshed monthly.

Everyone would because there's no reason for anyone to PvP them except other hunters call. There's no motivation for reapers to attack you. That's the biggest problem.

I don't see it anywhere here, so I will ask. Do you folks realize that Ocean Crawlers have HEARTS. Hearts will see at Sea Posts. Yep Siren Gems seel at SEA POSTS ALREADY. I am making a small fortune farming Siren Shrines for Siren Gems. They sell at different values depending on factors I have not deciphered. But I have advanced my hunters call, two days ago, from low level 40 over half way round the dial in less than 4 hours of game play, selling only gems to the Sea Posts.

Actually I think the hunters call version of The Legend of the Veil should be wailing it would make a circle on the map where if you go there you either find a whale or that Region's Megalodon if it's a Megalodon and not a whale you have to turn in its teeth it would drop one or two teeth if it's a whale you would have to Harpoon it and shoot it with a Eye Of Reach or you could use your cannons what's the whale is dead it will drop its fins what's the teeth and fins could be sold a lot of reputation

idk man, RN the legendary fish can give you like 5-6k once cooked. If they add emissary flag I wouldnt want to first level it up to 5 to get that 5-6k and I dont see RARE giving me a 150% bonus on 6k. sooo probably not?

@@nahuelgareis8927 I know, but there is great risk involved because of the PVP nature of that style of play and you only get ONE flag. Find a broken ship in a storm near an island. raise sails. drop anchor and catch legendary fish over and over and over again. Hardly any risk to catch tons of 5-6k fish in 30 mins. (It would be a cheat code to multiply the value of all those fish) OR battle a player for 30 mins to get a flag, maybe, if you win. It would be very unbalanced IMO.

I also dont see the incentive for reapers to come take players fish that they would then have to go cook inorder to get full value. I doint think that really fits the reaper style of play. Sure, they get the flag, but reapers want the loot too and typically leave merchant ships alone already. I think the same will happen to hunters emissary. Rare should do something else to fishing to make it more fun.
