It's a prequel and a sequel... Ice Queen trained the Huntsmen. Fell in love with Eric (Chris Hemsworth) but loves the Warrior (Jessica Chastain). Founds out about their love affair. Made them separate. Events of Snow White happened. Ravenna is killed. Ice Queen finds out big sister's death. Retrieved the golden mirror and resurrected the Evil Queen Ravenna.

The movie was great!! You all dont what your talking about The story was intresting enough With alot of twists.the love story was not cheese at all.the idea of the power of love is presented in very intresting form.and if you really try you will see there is deeper meaning for it.the fights were decent , and the story flow.but what makes it much better is the top notch special efects.i never seen anything like it ,it was breath taking really.also i liked the asthatic of snow and gold , it made really plesent to watch , a true eye candy. So do yourself a favor , and go watch this movie The bad rating just teach me neven listen to crities.its a shame that beacuse of those bad reviews , people are going to miss a great movie.

But it says: "When Freya learns of her sister’s demise, she summons her remaining soldiers to bring the Magic Mirror home to the only sorceress left who can harness its power. But once she discovers Ravenna can be resurrected from its golden depths..." Sounds like a sequel since Ravenna is said to be "dead".

+Stephen Nesbit Snow White was crowned queen at the end of the first one. So she's ruling her kingdom. I believe they are not going to address the character only the events of the first movie. That's also the reason why they cut Sam Claflin from the movie. So they have no reason to reference her

Just watched the movie..and i dare say this is the best movie adaptation of any fairy tale so far. Every bit of it is mesmerizing, all actors are splendid and marvelous. I'm gonna watch it again tomorrow, this time with my siblings.

I have no doubt that was, unfortunately, part of it and it's definitely a double standard. Let's be real though. I think Kristen Stewart is an underrated actress. Given the right material, she can be downright amazing. 'Clouds of Sils Maria' is a great example of that. However, she wasn't very good in 'Snow White and the Huntsman.' I'm not sure what it is, but she does not seem to do well in big budget blockbusters. I don't think she cares much for them and her performance shows it. She still has a solid career ahead of her and the longer it goes, the more people will forget about the Twilight films and the mess that happened with the director of the first Huntsman movie. As for this film? My excitement for it begins and ends with its three leading ladies. Three of the most talented actresses of their generation in a fantasy film where they can all be badasses? I'm sold.

I loved "Snow White & the Huntsman" and am thrilled to see Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth reprising their roles. Emily Blunt looks awesome as the Ice Queen too! Hopefully the descendants of Snow and William (if they had any) will appear in this movie. Further backstory on the Magic Mirror will be interesting to see as well. This is going to be so cool!
