Dingding finds her real love in that doctor that operated on her. I can't believe how disrespectful the ex bf was to her but he depended on her to run everything while he went on trips. She was way more capable than the ex gf that came back cause he had money and a business now. The doctor was a better fit anyway.

He just wanted his girl Friday back that's all. He missed her capability. She always felt that she wasn't good enough and became what he needed. With Doctor Ning, she was not only good enough, he adored her adorkableness. At least she figured out early enough and saw the signs that he really wasn't over the ex. He kept making excuses. That ex bf at some point will realize the first gf won't be as helpful as Ding Dung was. She was self motivated and self reliant. Well that's his loss. If you can't be there for your gf's cancer surgery, well it's time to switch bfs.
