FIFA, UEFA and the Premier League were quick to condemn the Dirty Dozen after they revealed plans for a European Super League, but it's important that we remember that those same organizations have led football to this point through their actions over the past few decades.

I don't agree with the sentiment of the ESL but the hypocrisy of people is ridiculous. All these former players who are criticizing this tournament had no qualms when collecting their exuberant 100k plus a week paychecks, while those from smaller teams got almost nothing, or when their clubs used their financial muscle to pick off the best players from smaller clubs it wasn't a problem, now these same people want to talk about 'equality in football', lol you've got to be kidding me. Look at the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich monopolizes that league nobody can compete with them, they bought lewandowski, gotze, hummels from Dortmund and nobody said anything. Its not like football is 'equal' without the super league there, equality is just a myth. What do you call the current climate of football, its run by a few elite clubs anyway, why do you think in nearly 20 years only 2 clubs outside of the big 6 have won the premier league.

You're absolutely right! The Super League is simply solidifying what has been building up for the last few decades and is already the status quo. The only difference now is that those founding members are trying to cut out the middle men in their whole cartel.
