It’s a wrap! The project got three 75 meter long ice core samples vertically drilled through the Holtedahlfonna glacier, all the way down to the bedrock underneath. ↕️ The Italian, French and Norwegian scientists had to handle several challenges through the project, such as running water (!) inside the glacier. This is how the project collected 300 years of climate history fra the glacier Holtedahlfonna close to Ny-Ålesund Research Station in Svalbard.
