The Idea of you (2024) Directed by: Michael Showlater is one of the most anticipated rom coms of the year featuring Anne Hathaway as a single mom in her 40s who falls in love with one of the members of a boy band who is in his mid 20s, the whole conundrum of sorts that follow after the meet cute couple actually become a thing which later takes a dig at each others personal lives is the whole gist of this film.
The internet went insane after the news about this film broke out, many realising this movie is close to about experiencing their fanfiction fantasies coming to life.
In terms of its narrative though I was not spellbound by it per se, but it was a perfect movie to watch over the weekend with not having any thought over it later.
The chemistry Anne and Nicholas shared in this film is quite amazing, the dreamy sequences of them dating is something that will really fill the rom-com void in your heart, it certainly did for me.
Ngl this film is a perfect guilty pleasure with potential recall value while also being the perfect date night recommendation.
