OK, so we've all heard we are 'supposed to' give back.
But what does that mean? Why should I care? What's in it for me?
In a new paradigm of contribution we learn that it really matters that we give - not only because
it's good for those who receive and it makes the world a better place - but because -
it's good for us. When we find ways to contribute in the world from our own gifts and passions,
we actually live more meaningful, happy and fun lives while improving our families, businesses and communities.
Sharing the story of the phenomenal success of the Impact 100 giving circles she created, Philanthropist, Wendy
Steele, also paints the picture of contagious generosity and why we should all get involved. With this insightful talk, Wendy inspires and challenges us to pursue the Win-Win-Win of giving back.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I lived with a mean spirit until I could not carry on, the pain was too great. I seem to have died and now serve that which needs nothing, which is complete. Living in the separate mind is the cause of all our problems, it will always tell you that you need something more and others don't matter as much. Some cannot give, while others cannot accept what they are given. Find your way home and be blessed.

Such warm inspiring talk. Found it a bit boring initially but it gets really interesting after the 7 minute mark. Generosity and kindness goes a long way.
