Creating an accommodating and accessible world so we disabled people can be as independent as possible is so important! If we implemented universal design and worked to make these changes, disabled people's independence could be greatly improved!

The disability community needs more people like you. Your videos are very important to use as a means to educate people about the obstacles you and other disabled people face. You always make great videos. Keep them coming. Stay safe and well. Looking forward to seeing your next video.

*mother of a child and wife to a man with a disability, not myself* In Australia we have the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The whole idea of the scheme is to enable full participation of people between 0-65 (don't get me started on the cut off at 65). In relation to the shaving of your armpits, the NDIS would pay (so, the government) for you to have waxing so that you could be independent in living the way you want. It can be a fight to get everything you need but my family would be so much negatively impacted without it. The government pays for all my daughter's assistive tech such as shoes and orthotics, hearing aids, all her therapies etc. My niece is an amputee and the NDIS funded a prosthetic with a knee joint to teach her as an infant how to move the most naturally. I really hope that the rest of the world gets something similar, or universal design does take off for everywhere so everyone can live the life they wish.

Hello Sunshine. It is unbelievable to me how some people have no empathy or even common sense to help someone in need or struggling to do something without even offering help. I hope someone viewing your videos Sarah would see the need for the things you speak about and be able to invent more products to help the disabled community. My Dad always said - if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. People who say things like cut your hair are insensitive. They should stop and think how hard it must be for you to take care of your beautiful long hair, and the fact that you keep it long despite that shows that it means a lot to you. 💖

Hi Sarah I really enjoy watching your videos and with you bringing up the topic of shaving your armpits I actually have problems gripping things so I cannot use a normal razor what I have learned to use is one of those flawless electric razors and it is help me out tremendously and then I don't cut myself I just thought I would let you know and maybe that would help you out I know it has helped me out tremendously Hope you have a wonderful day

I also can't use a potato peeler. When I need to peel potatoes, I grab one of those standing cheese graters and use the side you slice cheese on. I can now peel potatoes quicker than someone using a peeler. I have always found an alternative to the usual ways of doing things

I'm disabled too. I'm partially paralyzed on the left side. So it is hard to do certain things. I specifically wear shoes that don't have laces

I also think that another point about making products and society more adaptive and accessible this would make it less expensive for disabled people. For me personally I’m sometimes put off purchasing adaptive products unless I absolutely need them because they cost a lot more compared to the non adaptive equivalent whether this be a allergy friendly food item or clothing. Then there are the astronomical costs of things like wheelchairs which here in the UK we can’t get on our medical insurance like you can do in the USA.

I ran a restaurant for 8 years. If the server had refused something like that she would have been fired. Im in the Invisible disabilities community and go through a lot myself. Hearing stories like yours are enlightening. Please keep it up.

As someone who can’t eat a wide variety of food I get a lot of hate. I also can’t grip things very well and the amount of hate I get is unreal.
