Assalamu alaikum I'm a person who has committed a lot of sins in my life and It has gotten to a point where I want to repent but i don't feel remorse in my heart over the sins. What can a person in this situation do? Am I person who is doomed? as the statement of Ibn qayyim "The sinner does not feel any remorse over his sins, that is because his heart is already dead"/Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah. I think I fall under this situation and I have little hope left, Should I keep on seeking forgiveness from Allah with no regret or should I give up? I feel like everytime i do istighfar it come under ”The repentance of the liars” as the scholars said

Don't allow Shaytan to lie to you my dear. ALLAH is bigger than any sin or crime you can ever do. The fact you are sincerely concerned and afraid over it means your heart is still alive. Shaytan wants you to believe your sins are too much, too big, and you aren't sincere SO WHY EVEN REPENT-- this is how he works. He whispers evil into the heart and makes you believe it's from you and that this is your true state. Allah warned us to never give up on his mercy no matter how far we've gone and to the extent/degree of the severity. Shaytan will guide you to giving up hope when you really want to be close to Allah and tells us we are not worthy of salvation with repentance. Continue as you were repent to Allah, ignore the evil whispers saying its not sincere and as Allah by his best names to forgive, revive, heal, mend and expand you chest to his closeness/worship and praise. This is a WAR ....HE (Iblees) declared it on our father Adam PBUH and his generation til end of time. He wants to confuse/cause hopelessness and defeat and thus to break your connection to Allah. Fight him to your last breath. Insha Allah WE WILL SUCCEED AS AN UMMAH 🤲🏾🤗 ( YOU GOT THIS)!

Salam sheikh. Can you address the topic of social distancing in the masjid? A lot of Muslims are avoiding congregational prayers in the masjid as they consider it biddah to stand 1.5 meter apart during salat. Jazakallah khair.
