my first listen to Blonde On Blonde in 2019, when i was just starting to listen to actual music after making a spotify account, changed my life and perspective on music forever. i cannot overstate how much i love that album.

The only thing I would say about Blonde on Blonde is that I think 4th time around is the only really special song on side 3. But it still has more good songs than any of the other albums here

AYE has a direct influence on every rock(sub genre) album since its release, and honestly probably influence is prevalent on most albums outside of rock as well. Jimi is one of the 3 most influential guitar players ever. Plus one of the greatest drummers ever and my personal favorite Mitch Mitchell

@@David-yk5tq what filler? The only song I can really think of as filler is close to you and maybe good guy or be yourself,but those are interludes so they don’t really count.even then close to you is still an amazing song and the interludes do a good job of helping with the flow of the album.

I'll be honest, Darkness on the Edge of Town shouldn't have been ignored like that. I get that this all depends on taste, but that album is just as much of a contender as Blonde on Blonde and Purple Rain.

It's my favourite as he just happens to make some of the best music of all time while creating an important, grand and ambitious statement. It has beautiful production with memorable baselines and angelic vocals. It does not falter once and has exceptional highs. It's the definition of perfection imo.

Be honest: you put on "What's Going On" to hear 3 songs: the title track, "Mercy Mercy Me", and "Innercity Blues". The rest is just meh, or else a rehash of those three. Very overrated album.

In my opinion there are only a handful of albums that could possibly compare with what's going on. Songs in the key of life comes to mind, it's not as concise and well put together as what's going on, but the heights are higher
