I traveled hundreds of miles (admittedly by jet) to visit one of the country's premier record store- The In Groove in Scottsdale AZ! I have the inside word on what to expect if you go, what you should bring, and who you might meet! I've also include a short flip of my In Groove haul. This is a must view if you are a vinyl lover.

I thorughly enjoy watching your vids and listening to your take on all this stuff. Great presence! My entire immediate family live in the Scottsdale Phoenix area and I'll check these places out next time I get out of Chicago. I am a local, and Mike has always been gracious and kind, and has guided me to maximizing my current setup, mostly by leading me away from several decisions that I would be regretting today had I not talked with him. I know he is a busy guy, so I am always am sure to ask for a moment when I want to bounce something off of him. I have come to realize he's just a dude who is passionate about music, granted that he has probably forgotten more than I will ever know!

Brilliantly entertaining video, thank you. I just got back from visiting your great country. Like you I went for a concert that got postponed - in my case it was Gilbert O'Sullivan at the Troubadour in LA (not quite Bruce but almost). But never mind, I found a great record shop, Penny Lane in Upland, CA - bought some LPs (one was Route 66 Nelson Riddle - love it). Like you, I was like a kid in a sweet shop. Wes Anderson film on AA flight back to Blighty.

I agree I got to see The J. Geils band back in the late 70’s, I sort of liked their stuff, I would not consider myself a big fan, till I saw them live. Wow that is all I can say, I could listen to Peter Wolf’s stories all day, great live band. And hey I am 67 wife and I go out to eat once a week otherwise, we cook at home.

Mike- In Groove seems obessed by sound quality, but seems to have very little interest in music. Which is not uncommon with folks known somewhat perjoratively as ''audiophiles'.

@@UnitedStatesofAnalog No doubt he does, but my recollection of watching some of his content is these ''favorite artists'' are the more well known popular characters. My point was his listening seems limited to those. Or the types of sounds that tend to be reissued as Audiophile vinyls.
