Haha, well as of three days ago, there wasn’t an iceberg for Inazuma! Apart from one half-jokey one on Reddit that made no sense, I suppose. Did Axel use Heat Tackle in the manga then? I know it’s not part of his moveset in the third game and it might even be gone for the second, but thankfully the move manual was always easy enough to obtain. To know that there was a Filipino dub of GO Galaxy is really impressive!

I was really hoping to reach new people with this, but to entirely reinvest someone into Inazuma Eleven is a real achievement, so glad you enjoyed :)

Inazuma Eleven in France was a really popular show 10 years ago, every fan of football watched it, even teenagers. My cousin, my brother and myself loved it even tho we were between 12 - 15 years old. To be fair, I'm still a huge fan and I still hope this series will one day return !

I was obsessed with the series as a kid , played the first 3 games and watched the anime however i haven't really put much thought into watching beyond the mamorou trilogy . Watched a few episodes of go and it was alright but haven't had much incentive to continue it

@@ZeroAoAnimations unfortunately im pretty sure they initially planned for orion to be far longer, but i guess due to a lack of interest in japanese audiences, they were cancelled or something so they had to rush the series - one of the biggest examples is how the french match was cancelled for a reason that didnt really serve any purpose to the story (oH nO poIsONeD bAGuETteS)

@@morgg00 my problem is how dumb the series went thru dirty play, it used to be forceful but using the soccerball so it was thematic, now in ares/orion the keep using stuff like watch gadgets and shoe mirrors instead of stuff like hissatsus, so you have villains that are toiling with watches 24/7 during the entire match and its... Boring tbh

@@morgg00 As an Inazuma Eleven (anime) fan, I've never felt so disappointed. There are lots of things that bothered me about Orion. The evil/corrupt organization plot is just too predictable when we literally just had one in Ares, add *that* up with the dreadful pacing, and it's just impossible to handle well. The overall writing is just boring, repetitive, ham-fisted, and is just an insult to what this series stood for since 2008. Some of the previous characters we've seen have little to no character development whatsoever, especially Endou, who's kinda just pulling out different Hissatsu techniques and blocking most of the shots like an overpowered Gary Sue. Speaking of "pulling out different Hissatsu techniques", that's kinda what Ares and Orion were all about. Look, I know Inazuma Eleven is known for pulling out awesome Hissatsus, but Orion barely shows them *actually* doing training with those moves to the point where they just feel like they are literally being pulled out of thin air. And when it comes to the characters, they kinda just started senselessly adding more of them when they were on the world stage, making it harder to keep track of character growth. Irina, in the end, just wanted children to use children to rule the world. Also, for some reason, this season *REALLY* loves politics as well. Hikaru Ichihoshi's backstory is blatantly ripped off Fubuki's backstory, except Fubuki did it better. Instead, Hikaru is just a major plot device along with the enemy teams with little-to-no development whatsoever. Kidou also did almost nothing for most of the season because of Ichihoshi's actions just so he could just send additional members for Inazuma Japan and only showed up for the final battle. And this season tried focusing on Asuto trying to find his father too. In fact, Asuto Inamori is the WORST protagonist for any Inazuma Eleven series; he's like Tenma Matsukaze from the GO series, minus *anything* that made his character special. Sure, Tenma did a bunch of stupid stuff in the GO series, but at least he had some character development to make up for his shortcomings. Asuto doesn't have any of that. He gets 0 character development and can just overall feel insufferable to watch. There's also *barely* any time for the characters to just bond with each other all because of the dreadful pacing I mentioned. And then there's the ending...BOY that was rushed to hell; was the author of the show even reading the script?! They didn't even finish the FFI for God's sake! In the credits, they show a picture of Inazuma Japan holding a trophy implying that they won, but how exactly?! Don't get me wrong, there were some good moments in this season, but those good moments couldn't save this season from being so mediocre. If only they had just stopped after Inazuma Eleven GO: Galaxy... The fans deserved way better than this. It's like they took everything that was wrong with Ares and then just cranked it up to 11. For a more detailed explanation as to why this season sucked, try to look up Inazuma Eleven Orion reviews. ...I have never felt so betrayed. 😞

There’s definite discrepancies about the superpowers, like one of the final episodes of a season in the original trilogy basically asked “what are hissstsus anyway”, but theories still make great iceberg entries. Plenty more stuff presenting itself in the comments, love it!

Interesting to have more information on Alps and Alpine, you confused me at the start by saying you "disagree that it's NOT Alpine", double negative but I think you're telling me that they are separate. I never considered that they'd be anything other than a different snowy team ten minutes down the road from Alpine, but who knows! What's the story about Farm and Caribbean, where do we learn about those?

(Although, this team being also just a snowy team just sounds funny-) Btw, about these teams... Sadly it's very hard to learn about them due to their obscure status and the little info present in wikis (Caribbean doesn't even have a page in the English wiki, but in the Spanish one), so i'll just write what I know here: • Caribbean appears at the start of episode 20, in which Zeus beats them and wounds the entire team. We can see their team kit and some of their players, too (Although since they were designed as BG characters, their designs don't really stand out compared to the average IE design). I don't think they have any videogame cameo sadly. The English wiki briefly mentions that Caribbean could be a team named Mangrove in the dub, even tho the team that Zeus beats doesn't get named in the dialogue. Overall, it's a bit confusing, but I love trying to research about it anyway. Btw, there could be a connection between this team and the pirate team from GO, but idk. Their japanese names are very different (As this team's name is made by Kanjis whose reading literally is 'Caribbean') • About GO's Farm, they appear at episode 40, with the same fate as Caribbean. They show just the GK, also with a BG character-like design. Upon this cameo, they don't appear anywhere else, tho in the game the team does kinda appear in a cutscene, but with the player's faces covered. I'm still sad that this team never got any info, and it doesn't help that the original Farm players cannot be even scouted in GO :( Either way, that's all I know! Even of these teams being unknown, I still wanna try to often think how they would be like... (I just wished they had a videogame appearance like some other minor yet lucky teams got, at least...)

And sea themes....)

I'm really glad to hear the iceberg has helped to reach new Inazuma fans! That was the goal. I love ONM and definitely do feel they had a lot of freedom for the most part, gradually a bit of that Ninty influence seemed to slip in with some of the scores like Star Fox 64 3D and Super Mario All-Stars, but their Inazuma opinions were definitely genuine. That issue is the whole reason I ever got the game so for that I too am very grateful

From ONM 54 i brought in a newsagent I had every issue since. They gave me Super Smash Bros. Brawl for free for subscribing in 2010 (?), which looking back was a ridiculous deal
