That's not how the true story went she did do something. She abused her own beauty by not paying attention to others and then she made Athena angry. Thus Athena punished medusa with an ugly face, and snake as hair, so once someone looks at her eyes, they turn to stone. Then sent her to a place with blind monsters, so she couldn't hurt innocent people. I might be wrong but I know that's how it at least went

Yes she did, the video is incorrect. She disrespected Athena a lot in her temple (Athena's) and was punished by being so ugly that if anyone saw her ugliness, they would be turned to stone.

Hello there, I live in the UK but I come from Athens, Greece. I was taught in the school Meduca's story and I don't think we are essentially taught to be scared by her because she is often used to the modern greek literature (19th- ) to represent strong and maybe mad women. I really enjoyed your video thanks for that :)

Medusa’s story is terribly tragic for two, main reasons. 1.) She got raped. By her patron’s uncle, a god who was untouchable and powerful. And due to her being mortal, she was punished (in some versions of the myth) instead of him. Poseidon ruined her life and was freed of the situation immediately. Some of the myth’s versions say Athena turned her into her new form to protect her from anyone else doing unspeakable things to her, but Perseus was sent to kill Medusa still due to frightened townsfolk (if I remember right). This brings me to my next point. 2.) She ended up dying like a monster she never truly was, and her body (head especially) was then used for another man’s gain. Again. He became a hero, and she was forever remembered a monster. A hero is never always a hero.
