Great conversation, I joined the Australian army age 17. After training I was posted to 1 RAR. I served for 20 months and then went awol as I realised I didn’t want to be a politicians pawn. Within 2 months my old unit was sent on Operation Solace(Somalia). Since that Operation Australia’s military has had a presence in many of the USA conflicts. I’m fortunate that I did not become one of the victims. Keep up the good work.

John was a very rare man indeed, a man of integrity and great personal courage, he put himself in very dangerous situations in his search for the truth, always a champion for the oppressed people of the world, where ever he is now, it's sure to be a good place ❤❤.

Thanks David for this rare insight as he was often shunned by Aust media. Principled risk. What a shame we don’t honour such risk in Australia. Julian, John and you would have been treated so differently. I despair at our cowardice, it’s not being conservative. We aren’t calling out what we can see in Palestine either 😢

John Pilger is a legend, superstar and there should be a big Greek looking statue of him somewhere. I don’t know if he has one on his mantle piece but there should be one in every city in the world. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Keep going John.

Hi david & John hope you both good.. great and thoroughly intertesting conversation between yourself and Mr. Pilger. Speaking of great world war 2 movies. Have you seen Roberto rossolini's WW2 Trilogy. germany Year zero is probally the most hard hitting as it concentrates on germany after their surrender and the hardships on the ordinary german civillians. Rome, Open city also and Paisa. Definately well worth a binge watch if you havent you definately wont regret it.. thanks for posting this interview guys..

David, bare dirty soles & feet wriggling on a coffee table-no. You’ve just made every Eastern & Continental European, Scandinavian, Middle Eastern, African, South American, SE Asian especially Buddhists, every Moslem feel emetic & revolted. Such a big mistake for such an important interview with a great man. John Pilger’s life’s work, is an unrepeatable legacy, the impeccable documentation of history,& of global significance. Eternal Memory to this lovely man who didn’t for a minute, lose his integrity, humanity or moral compass.
