At my high school, whenever a band kid has their birthday, the conductor lets us play the happy birthday song for them. But he never thought us how to play, so it's a bunch of wrong notes in 7 different keys. It's the most beautiful thing.

A traditional pinata is seven pointed star, like the 7 deadly sins. Hitting the pinata simbolizes victory over sin and the candy is supposed to represent the treasures of heaven. As a kid I always felt weird about the animal ones, like why should I beat the crap out of poor pikachu for candy. Cartoon ones are for marketing. Only when I took as Spanish class as an adult did I learn the lore.

My class did exactly the same, whenever it was someone's birthday we all sang happy birthday and the birthday person handed sweets to us. In year 1 , it was someones birthday and we had an indestructible pinata lol.

My parents made an elephant piñata for my little brother’s birthday, and they put on a lot of layers of paper mache… 😅😅 Needless to say, the result was pretty much the same, and it took about 15ish minutes of beating it to death (with adult help, lol) to see the first crack of candy-filled hope in our indestructible piñata. My mom made a paper mâché pokeball piñata once for my 6th birthday, and that thing was also really hard to break. One of my friends eventually ripped it from the top and most of it was FRUIT CANDY!!! THERE WAS ALMOST NO CHOCOLATE😭

For my and my siblings b-days, our mum bought the giant balloons and we could fill it with what she bought and used old newspapers to cover it. However, we hung it from out monkey-bars and we were given a baseball bat to beat it. I'll tell you know, they were hard to crack each time. It was alot of fun though.

When we were little, my siblings and I tried beating a piñata up. When it was my brother's turn he accidentally threw the bat. (SIDE NOTE: The bat was metal) Nobody got hurt, but it's just a thing that's stuck in my brain. :)

Using my moms youtube account, she also made an indestructible pinata, it was Iron Mans arc reactor, one of my uncles had to cut it open with a pocket knife after everyone adults included tried to break it.

Actually in our school, when it was our birthday we would bring treats and chocolates for the whole class and the 40 sports teachers, sometimes other people too, we did that till the 6th grade
