So for gold users, we all get a Rocktober free three pack! Not to mention they're fairly high profile bands... Which is pretty cool.
Muse - the Resistance
My Chemical Romance - Na Na Na
Disturbed - Infected
I like the songs, and the fact that they're free make it that much better. Don't complain about the songs though either, they're free and completely optional, and there's always the Hendrix stuff available too.
Haven't really heard Na Na Na and I tried listening to it before but lost interest, but here it's actually pretty good and out of all the songs they could've picked from their newest album, the Resistance is the one I would've picked, so good for them. Don't really listen to Disturbed but this song is tolerable.
So anyway yeah free songs! All sightreads too and the first time for me really actually playing anything regarding Guitar Hero since the game got released. Cool.

@TheWattershed Actually, when you go into practice mode and play it in SUPER SLOOOOW MO you could hear that chord. That open note lets you hold the buttons ahead of time. So its just an extended sustain but with an open note. Doesn't seem like a charting error.

@MasterEduardoChief Yup. The last DLC pack was in April. They completely shut down the GH studio part of Activision. Until the company decides to revitalize the series, NO GH-related games or downloads are coming at all.

@Nattekip Someone with a paid subscription to Xbox LIVE. Silver is the free alternative. Gold gets you weekly discounts and sometimes, free content. Most free content is also free for all Silver members after a week. I think Gold members also get all demos a week early. Voice chat is Gold only, I think. I'm sure there's more.

@SkipperWordPress its not a cheat, its an extra. if it was a cheat itd help him somehow but its an extra which means it can make it harder or it doesnt bother your way of playing in any way to make it easier and such.

Sometimes I think the GH licensors were trying to spite RB's catalog size. We have 12 Disturbed songs in RB, so they grab one we don't have (they did the same by going after No Way Back for their Foo Fighters pick, even when that same album has far more famous songs on it). Same with that worthless Power Gig having The Night. I want more Disturbed, dammit.

@jmt1000 I said "Rock Band REVOLUTIONIZED" that didn't mean GH never did it either. Rock Band also didn't fuck over one of the companies that made it, unlike GH. And a lot more people nowadays care more about Green Day than Aerosmith or Van Halen (Myself excluded). RB is paying attention to it's customers and making games that they would love, rather than GH, who makes games they see fit. In the end, Rock Band will always be better.

@jmt1000 So, making the drums, vocals, harmonics, keyboard, and pro mode isn't a revolution in rythm gaming? It sounds like it. Rythm games are what they are today because of Rock Band. It takes Rock Band years inbetween sequels because they develop new installments that make people wanting to play it some more. I'm still not sick of Rock Band 2, but GH Metallica I only play every now and then.
