He married her partially because she was educated and moved her away from her family. He could have chosen any woman in the Nation. He choice this beautiful and intelligent “Brown Betty”. It seems to me that many Black folk that they interviewed back in the day, educated or not, were articulate.

Malcolm was our brotha. He spoke the truth and it’s crazy how people fear the truth. The man was not a violent man. He was a brotha who just wanted us to have the same rights white folks have. He’s a human rights activist, NOT a civil rights activist. Just had to share that.

Brotha Malcolm and Sista Betty are United together again, but Sista Betty deserves her roses. She raised six daughters on her own and they ended up being great women and Queens that they are. She was and is an educated Sista who continued Malcolm’s work and made sure to keep his name alive. Brotha Malcolm told the truth and wanted us to have empowerment and knowledge about ourselves. He also was a brotha who wanted us black folks to have the same opportunities white folks got. He wanted us to really think for ourselves. When he broke free from the NOI, his whole thinking was changed. Brotha Malcolm was killed due to the fact that he told the truth and America was afraid of the truth. This is why we gotta give Brotha Malcolm and Sista Betty their props.

Lord have mercy brother Malcolm had good taste,Miss Betty was such A CUTIE PIE!!😍😍.. and needless to say that her intellect stood it's on ground.! Their question were so primitive ...'common sense'...his ( Malcolm) answers had to be dumped down as one could easily tell even in his simple replies he's vocabulary in accuracy of corresponding his concept was on fire.Even his most simple replies were equivalent to putting fire to a dangerous firecracker hoping that you can run quick enough before it exploded.!! There was no way on God's green earth that ANY interviewer despite their color did not walk away amazed.!!!!!

I think the best to live with dignity and respect, is to simply stop behaving victim. We should be ready to face and to overcome any type of challenge. Anybody who respect us, we should respect him back, and anybody who wants to misbehave with us we should simply put him back in his place in a more rude way if requires. We shouldn’t beg or negotiate any form of love or appreciation from no one . We can’t force anyone to love or to like us, but we can force everybody to respect us through our actions and through how we react when provoked. Every black should know where ever he found himself in any part of the world, that he is an ambassador of a big community of black people, so representing us well becomes compulsory and very important

Betty deliberately misrepresented Malcolm’s relationship with his SISTER Ella Collins. Ella was his serogate mother, she took care of him from age 12 until he went to prison. Ella gave Malcolm the money to go on his hajj and on his trips thru Afrika. And Malcolm never referred to Ella as his half sister, she was his sister. Betty Hated Ella. Betty wouldn’t dare mention that she was the one who refused to move out of the US to save Malcolm’s life when he was offered asylum in Ethiopia by Haile selassie, additionally Malcolm never made Betty a member of MMI or the OAAU. He wouldn’t allow her to join and didn’t want her involved. Why did Betty throw out all of his pictures video footage from his afrikan trips and OOAU charter and Organizational notes for the feds to collect after he died?

A man should want a woman who's comparable to him. Because equality in a relationship is always better than inequality. I love women with a voice, not one that I can control and manipulate. Not one that's overbearing but strong and supportive. In the streets, you would call that a ride or die. Michelle Obama, Coretta King, Merle Evers, Jackie Kennedy, and Betty Shabazz, Hillary Clinton. Just to name a few, were and are all ride or die chicks.

I’m a black man from Halifax, Nova Scotia. My lineage goes back over 200 years. We were brought up from the underground railroad and landed in Nova Scotia Canada. I have a question for my brothers and sisters in United States. Why are you letting this racism continue. It’s been over 50 years since Malcolm X spoke about this and nothing is done. As black Canadians we fight hard to have us and others benefit more freedom. See we don’t play. We even have a black woman’s face on our ten dollar bill. Sorry but all you black so-called Americans like to do is talk about what happened about someone, but no one’s making any serious moves. At least 50 years ago you all were marching together. Have y’all gave up on your selves? Y’all are under the Willie Lynch syndrome to the point of y’all be still calling each other the N-word. And then get mad when a white say it to y’all. Do you know why some of you get mad when whites call you the N-word? It’s what whites taught you to feel. Does any of y’all besides pimps and player know about hypnoses and that words are spells subconsciously? I know a lot of whites do. Anyway as I was saying white tight you to feel, that O’Jay was guilty, Michael Jackson, Bill Cosby, Russell Simmons and more. America controls every American’s believes especially yours, that is why most of y’all have no beliefs in Africa. When whites tell you to go back to Africa you all get mad. I always tell them, I would love to go!!!! All I’m saying is, your game is weak. It’s time to make your own laws or create your own party instead of letting these racist whites control you subconsciously. What is the policy for police training in America? Is it under the federal government and is it explained to the public? Police in Canada will never be able to get away with the racism tactics that is happening in United States. All I’m saying it’s been over 50 years since Malcolm X spoke about this. Laws need to be changed and if y’all can’t break out and change the laws, create your own party. There are plenty of rich blacks to support one of you. I never liked Obama, especially when he’s sold out on Reverent Wright. What disgust me the most was when Obama let a white man who killed a young black child (Trayvon Martin) go free. White America would never allow a puppy or a white child be killed by a black man and go free. Subconsciously they have most of you convinced in their wicked ways. No disrespect to my brothers and sisters with a white mother but a white woman without a black man can’t bring up a black child, only a white child with a black face. It’s all a set up people!!!! Y’all voted Democrat and the Democratic Party was the founder of the KKK. Our ancestors are probably turning in their graves over y’all voting Democratic. Remember it was the Republicans that freed the slaves. But your racist whites are so slick, that they took your party away from you. Now you’re stuck with two racist parties. Regardless what party you choose, it ain’t gonna make a difference, unless you make demands. America was not built for y’all. Don’t think I feel that I’m better than you, us blacks in Canada experience racism also but we make demands. My American brothers and sisters you are the biggest consumers in America, spending over $2 trillion a year on Air Jordans, Jewellery fancy cars, shoes etc. Y’all like to show off your bling bling. Like what Millie Jackson said “the white man finally let you all make some money but you fools give it all back”. If we all move to Africa, America would collapse. Think about it. Imagine how powerful we all would be if we all move back and help control and run that big rich Beautiful continent. No racism attach just pure freedom. Looks like Trump is doing more for blacks then Obama every day, maybe it’s because he represents the party that that originally freed the slaves.

I have read the first Blacks to come to Halifax were American slaves who the British promised freedom too for fighting against the colonial rebels who wanted independence from Britain. Republicans betrayed Blacks after the civil war with the refusal to defend the new reconstruction state governments in the South with the Hayes Tilden compromise.

@@kimobrien. We also invented hockey in the streets of Halifax Nova Scotia before World War II. After the war the whites made it popular but didn’t want us blacks to play with them.

There's no justice for our black men and women not just in the UK and the US but the world. There's a single day our people are murdered stopped and searched denied civil rights in housing education employment law labour and health. Baba Malcolm X was absolutely right that the black man should be able to be self dependent, self-conscious, and self-pride.

He had more than one grandchild. I think the daughters have been quiet about their families in order to protect them. The child that supposedly killed Betty also died a strange death and left behind children of his own. It's understandable why we don't hear about the other descendants, but they do exist.
