I agree on the dev speed 100%, I started a new save recently and bumped dev speed to 1.2, aging down to 0.8 (I wish there could be like a variability setting because I'm fine with how some guys fall off into their 30s, I just wish it was less prevalent, it feels like every player basically tanks into their 30s whereas in the MLB I feel like it's more varied, some guys do some guys play through numerous years in the 30s and are productive still), and TCR up to 125 I feel like I never saw it happen really on 100. I think that's helped a lot

I always set talent settings to: - batter/pitcher aging speed @ 0.850 - batter/pitcher dev speed @ 1.350 - talent change randomness @ 135-145 There's also the "target age" stuff they added but I find those are too dramatic. Using my settings IMO it's reasonably diverse still player-to-player and the change randomness generates stuff like Brent Rooker or Jake Burger breaking out IRL. That setting sometimes used to lead to Nick Margevicius becoming the best pitcher of all time, but this year I swear that it's talent change to one or two tools rather than all of them like I think it was before.

Low intelligence isn't too much of a barrier to meeting potential usually, at least it doesn't seem that way to me. It's definitely worse than high intelligence, obviously, but it's not nearly as bad as low work ethic

OOTP is probably one if the most fun and the most frustrating game I've ever played. I had a season where I won 93 games, lost in game seven of the world series with only one major injury all year. The next season with a mostly unchanged but slightly upgraded roster 3 of my starters got hurt, my two best relievers got hurt, 4 of my 6 best hitters got hurt and our durable 80 rated defensive shortstop got a 12 month injury within the first month of the season. I then traded for a one season rental shortstop on his last year if control and one month later he had a season ending injury. To make it worse the prosepcts I traded who were two star and two and a half star prospects with not even passable potential ratings proceeded to both develop into three star players a few years years later making it the worst trade I've ever made in the game. We won 72 games. Thank you for letting me vent
