Here I am in 2021. Still in love with old smooth jazz created a century ago. For a long time I couldn't figure what was my taste of music. Then one day I heard "address unknown" by this band and since then.. old smooth jazz has by a true medicine to my anxiety

and what is this "local band" example? It has nothing to do with my original comment at all. i said my favorite songs being so accessible takes away some of the specialness of them, and thats just true. by being able to access something you like whenever you please it makes said thing become less special, and more normal because you can listen to it whenever you want. i never said shit about not wanting to share them with others and i infact do the exact opposite, maybe go back and read my comment more carefully before you start talking shit please, its annoying.

I wonder if these are ripped from vintage 78's. Typically, the big studios use the masters, since they own them, but often times, those masters are not in great shape due to years of damage. So, even though, theoretically, the master should sound the best, the 78 sometimes sounds better due to the lack of post-pressing damage it endured.
