Is Fulvic Acid as interesting as Glycolic or Hyaluronic Acid? I don't think so. And I don't understand why it is the leading ingredient in The Inkey List Fulvic Acid Cleanser we will review today either. But I still think it is a cleanser to have on your list, let me tell you why.

As doctor passionate about skin care that delivers results I want to help you quickly and efficiently pick a skin care regime that works, by explaining the science behind skin and by sharing quick product reviews.
I am a big believer that creating a skincare routine that targets your specific concerns is not a matter of your budget. There are many great affordable brands out there: The Inkey List, Good Molecules, Geek & Gorgeous or pixi skincare to name a few of my favorites, and if you know how to combine them, you are well on your way to healthy and happy skin.
Healthy and happy skin does not mean "flawless" - whatever that might be. I have been struggling with acne, hyperpigmentation and postinflammatory erythema (PIH and PIE) for most of my adult life, and it took me a while to figure out that gentle is key. I went through a retinol damaged skin barrier, acne flare ups and sun damage until I finally reached my happy place: With Tretinoin, sunscreen and of course a red lipstick!

So far I use Kose Speedy cleansing oil and FAB's face cleanser ( the original one ). I have tried the fulvic acid cleanser. I did enjoy it. I love the texture. I don't think it exfoliates though. The peat in it just disingrates as soon as you get it wet and start to massage it into the skin. This did give me a brightening effect for me. I'm not sure if I'll repurchase. I usually don't buy enough on Sephora to begin with. 🤣

Sounds interesting. I will look into purchasing to replace my Krave Macha Hemp cleanser as my morning, and second cleanse. Hi from Australia

The Inkey List had made some questionable marketing choices recently. “Succinic acid blemish/acne treatment”. I still think the spot ingredient looks like a good product if just for the sulphur, salicylic acid, and green tint
@DoctorAnne
@DoctorAnne 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, they did, but I do love the succinic Acid Treatment as well. Not because of the Succinic Acid, but it is great at bringing inflammation down.

I also like that spot treatment, but the marketing is annoying. I liked the Inkey List for the focus on ingredients, but it's very off-putting to see the wrong ingredients being advertised

@@auricia201 I feel the same. Although I am happy they did distance themselves from the "clean beauty" thing that was going on for a short while...

I randomly bought this a while ago. It's ok. As far as I can tell, it doesn't do anything, my 2 € drugstore cleaner doesn't do, though. At least not in terms of gently but effectively cleaning my skin. I use a micellar water to remove my mascara first as well, though. I'll go back to my cheap cleanser and rather spend my money on serums or creams with active ingredient, I think. I'm always dubious about their effectiveness in rinse off products anyway. Salicylic Acid in cleanser form did absolutely nothing for me, for example, until I started to massage a huge dollop into my already clean and wet skin and letting it do it's thing for 2 or 3 minutes. 10 min Masks work even better. I like the Inkey List, but this one was a waste of money for me.

If I have to chose, I spend my money on the serum step as well. It is just where I expect the most return.

Every time I see a cleanser that promises to do more than gently remove makeup/sebum/dirt, I wonder: Are actives in cleansers really able to change my skin during the ~60 seconds I leave them on? I don't invest in cleansers for that reason, I'm wondering if I should change that.
@DoctorAnne
@DoctorAnne 2 жыл бұрын
I don't think you need to change that, but: there are technologies that can be used in formulation that will enable the cleanser to deposit things like hydrating substances to your skin during the process. The main thing a cleanser should do though is cleanse without stripping the skin. I have a few more expensive one because I love how they feel, but that is certainly not a necessity and not the first place in my routine I would spend my money.

How many times can i use this per week? Also is this good for dry blemish prone skin?
@DoctorAnne
@DoctorAnne 10 ай бұрын
You can use it daily, although that might not be the best for dry skin depending on what you follow it up with. And it does not contain any actives that specifically target breakouts, but is a nice supporting cleanser.
Which is the best INKEY LIST cleanser for you? 🤔
