Once again in previous videos, we have seen you use 10% ordinary niacinamide, WHY CANT YOU JUST PUT A DISCLAIMER THAT SAYS - BUT IF YOUR SKIN CAN TOLERATE IT THEN USE THE HIGHER CONCENTRATION. I’m so sick of these dermatologists changing their recommendations and making it seem like everything is black and white, no gray areas. Stop it
@snowy_sparkly9397
@snowy_sparkly9397 5 ай бұрын
Well she did have a new video or short were she mentioned that studies recommend around 5% niacinamide but if your skin is tolerating the high percentages then continue using it but id your skin doesn't or you are still new it's best to use the 5%❤. I guess even doctors make mistakes.
@rayradiance666
@rayradiance666 5 ай бұрын
@@snowy_sparkly9397 okay but can these doctors be transparent and put an honest disclaimer when they talk to the effect of “I know I’ve used a higher concentration and promoted it previously but to be aligned with studies and less irritation, this is the right amount” don’t just ignore what was said previously.

My guy. She was rating the most highly concentrated products from the brand. Those products are meant for people who are experienced in using those ingredients. She needs to review the regular products that are more gentle and safer for sensitive skin.

But you recommend the 10% niacinamide from the ordinary in your best the ordinary video??
@TheCRYSTALLURE
@TheCRYSTALLURE 11 ай бұрын
Probably due to ingredient list too. we have to remember the ingredients per brand are not always 100% the same even if it’s the main ingredient.
@JFPRECIOUS
@JFPRECIOUS 11 ай бұрын
@@TheCRYSTALLUREshe didn't speak towards the brand specific ingredients she's only mentioning that 2-5% is what's recommended yet recommends 10% Niacinamide is a separate video. The only thing I can think of is it possibly being brand specific due to it being a sponsored video 🤷🏾‍♀️💸
@TheCRYSTALLURE
@TheCRYSTALLURE 11 ай бұрын
@@JFPRECIOUS mmm okay. I can see that. She does typicall have the issue with it being over 5% but like you said if their skin can tolerate it it’s fine but they all tend to have there preference of recommendations. 😅

It's quite worrying she calls herself Dr. when she doesn't have a GMC licence - med school is not enough. It implies she's a dermatologist which is misleading. If she has a PhD (I'm not sure) then that would be okay for sure

I tried a few years ago peroxide benzene and it worked wonders, however after a few months one day I woke up to a horrible allergic reaction, my Face looked like it was burned, completely unrecognisable, had to rush to ER to get a shot and after a few days my face went back to normal. Be extra careful it did not seem I was allergic to that at first, but it turned out I was.

That’s interesting. I had that kind of reaction just after two or three days of using 5% BP Cream. Since then I stay away from BPO products.

Retinol can be irritating. Do you use it daily? NEVER use it everyday when you are new to retinol. Use only a PM pea sized amount! First 1x week, then 2-3x week and when your skin gets used to retinol you can use it every night. You also have to remember to apply sunscreen daily when using retinol
@veronicamaine3813
@veronicamaine3813 8 ай бұрын
I’ve used retinol for years at far higher concentrations that 1%. It really depends on your skin, not everyone tolerates it but many do (and for some the irritate is short lived and the skin gets used to it) I’m blocking this “dr” anyway - she seems to know very little or doesn’t bother to explain her position. There are better derms to follow.
