I finally had a proper wagyu ribeye this past weekend and let me tell you that Guga and other people are not kidding when they say it is rich. I had a 20 oz. steak with marbling score 7 and it was hard to finish. In the future I would serve it for a group as a sampler. I don't think I would go all in for a steak like that for myself. That being said.. the leftovers made for the best steak & eggs breakfast I ever had.

one little advice on the first method: if you marinate the egg for couple days, the marinate actually penetrate into the yolk and cured it just a little bit while maintaining the running texture, and that is going it make it even better. if you use this method, perhaps don't put any veggie into the marinate since scallion would turn bitter and produce a bit of acidity. And use a Japanese soy sauce for sure as it contains some sort of fish powder/flakes therefore enhance the umami by a lot. Pardon my poor English

Agreed. I get that fire is visually good, but what if someone saves up for wagyu then cooks it the way it's shown?

@@tamlandipper29 if you buy a wagyu, you should know what you are doing. If not, you should ask someone to make it for you. I love to use flames to make it perfect.

Gugu is NOT kidding when he says it’s rich. I recently had an A5 Japanese Olive Wagyu 8 oz. I usually can eat about 12 oz but this was quite enough for me. When I first ordered it I was like this is $200 idk if ill need more after. Overall great experience 10/10

Hey Guga, I’ve pretty much scene all your videos, I absolutely love them! I had a though about the black egg, I think if you pour the yolk mix into a cold lan a cook it on really low heat you will get the perfect true BLACK egg! PLEASE PLEASE try it and let me know how it turned out! Forgot to add pour the egg yolk very carefully into the pan to not creat any bubbles, you could pop the bubbles with a toothpick before turning on heat

tip when marinating put paper towel on top so the top of the egg absorbs it too as you can see in 2.25 some of the whites are brighter in colour because it didnt get marinated evenly so remember to put paper towel on top then close it with a lid

Gavin Webber recently made his own cheese using a Sous Vide to heat his milk. Might be something for you to try out, Guga. Also, I find that a good way to avoid too many bubbles in my eggs is to use butter instead of oil, and add the eggs about 15-30 seconds after the butter appears to be bubbling uniformly.
