As an armed guard I promise you we don’t have all that training but the pay is decent only because we work 65 hours a week

Yeah you’re really really over hyping the Loomis guy making 20 bucks an hour. In Texas commission security guard are not permitted to use rifles. Handguns and shotgun yes if they have a certification for them. But the certification process to become a commission security guard is like 40 hours.

I worked at Wells Fargo Armored Service NYC between 1977 and 78 as an armed driver, our fellow employees were armed with model 10 S&W revolvers and pump shotguns, and there were 3 per truck, there was no special training, just balls, I found it a much safer job when I joined the NYPD!

The funniest moment I had working that job was when a guy came into the bank, saw the vault opened and jokingly said "Hey, good day to rob the bank" Sees me standing at the vault door and says "Okay, maybe not with you there" I replied "Ya, that would really suck for both of us". We all had a laugh😁

I’m sure they’ve made some improvements since the late 90s when I worked for one of the large companies they showed. The trucks would look like Swiss cheese if shot with any semi automatic rifle.I’ve been yelled at for returning as a Messenger since my driver was unarmed. The policy required only one person be armed. My driver forgot to draw their weapon and I had them return during the run and retrieve it. She returned to the truck with no additional speed loaders, just the issued.38 S&W back then (six rounds). The entire time working at Br_ _ _$ in a very large city, I’ve never seen a shotgun on a truck or in the branch! Rarely, did we ever have more than two people (driver and messenger). I’ve transported millions of dollars and all we had was the two of us with 18 rounds of .38.

BRINKS has some of the best trained guards out there. They're very hard to get into. Those other companies aren't so high standard. Also the money is all tracked and every code is one time use. They're legally allowed to kill you if you attempt to rob them or threaten with violence.

Here in Philippines transporting money usually consists of 4 guards and 1 drivers sometimes when they transport money there is always guards at the destination they are going

Really over hyping the Loomis guy. For my experience working with these people, they are not hiring these super special ops operators like this video suggests. They are largely hiring people couldn’t quite make it into the police Academy yet are qualify for TSA.

I think things might be a little different here in jersey, atleast now. we have what's called a SORA license, and there is one for regular unarmed security, and one for armed security, commonly referred to as a RED SORA. this RED SORA only authorizes you to work for an armed security company and must be renewed every 2 years, IT DOES NOT AUTHORIZE YOU TO CARRY A GUN, for that you need a regular NJ carry permit, and without it you can only work as a regular unarmed guard. currently carry permits cost $200 with 2 yr renewal, and the governror wants to to raise it to $400, other requirements include having 4 references not related by blood or law to vouch for your character via phone interview. it is also worth pointing out that NJ DOES NOT recognize any out of state permits, however with the permit you are allowed to carry in certain other states.

This is btw for USA. In Canada I never seen them have there weapon on there holster and usely 3 mimnium per truck and I travel a lot in Canada and see them everywhere

In Canada they carry pistols and there are rifles in the truck. Just randomly seeing them around I think they are pretty much the same as the US examples shown in all aspects. Check with an optometrist.

Typically it's a run-flat tire and already bulletproof to a degree, so they can at least drive away or towards help. These trucks are balanced so you could drive with a whole tire missing. And some models have built-in inflators so if the hole is small the driver can top up the air with a button on the dashboard.

@@devinbaber4594 It's on their website you goof. I can install a CTI system for my own vehicle why would the manufacturer say it's installed in the vehicles? Run flat tires exist and they definitely use them. Even the non-bulletproof tires are 45+ ply because of the weight of the vehicle, not just any basic ass tire. Whoever you work for cheaped out but it doesn't mean that's industry standard. Maybe you don't carry valuable enough cargo.

@@devinbaber4594your full of shit . I used to work on one of these trucks . Even if the tires are shot , the auto fill system would keep pumping compressed air into the damaged tire . And there are run flat tires on these trucks . You could drive several miles at minimum on a flat tire before any damage happens to the truck.

Hay um you should check your sources or do some research in the first place. Those armored cars do not use Steele plate. It's aircraft aluminum. It's designed to slow the bullet over time not stop it in it's tracks

You’re REALLY overselling the training and readiness of the guards. These are not highly skilled jobs and don’t pay exceptionally well which is a very good indication of the type of individuals who do this job. The training is very basic and the physical requirements are minimal. It’s not like you have retired seals or tac guys working this job. It’s an underpaid position with under skilled labor as a result.
