It's always fascinated me how psychology and spirituality go together. Psychology is the human (mind and emotions) and spirituality is the being (consciousness). It seems impossible to seperate the two because we are both a human and a conscious being. If I focus 100% on the human then I won't be grounded and at peace with my true essence. But if I focus 100% on the being (consciousness) then I'm not dealing with my mind and emotions in a healthy way and I will be lost in the world of form. I think the key is to get a good balance between the two. This is a really fascinating topic!

I would like to know his opinion on Eckert Tolle’s psychology. When I listen to “awakened” humans, I am curious about their psychological makeup.

Hi there, ever since I started on this consciousness path, I was able to tap so much into my consciousness and discover that I am Awareness and it all felt so good, but now my mind seems to be clamping down really hard, and it's like there's an entity in my head that's constantly over-reactive and causing all sorts of clenching or tightness in my body, it makes me unable to burp or fart or poop easily, it's amplifying the pain I feel from all sorts of things and feelings, and it's affecting my life really much. When I try to talk to this entity, I always get the same answers, it wants me to suffer, and the reason it is here is because of all the consciousness work that I did, and that it is killing it, so it wants me to stop, but I have already stopped for so long, almost weeks, but this entity is still here, and it's just making life harder and harder by the day, I'm like having constipation and bloating just from the fact that mind is so tight that it won't let me release, and my entire life is now centered around finding ways to burp and fart and poop. No matter how hard I try to make peace or be friends with it, it just stays silent, and gives me no answer, and whenever I even think about anything that's slightly triggering to it, like abiding in God consciousness, or meditating, or simply being jolted by sudden movements, and noises, it just goes absolutely nuts, and clenches up completely, making the top of my head feel like there's a clamp on it. I really need help on this, have you or anyone here encountered such a phenomenon before? And what would you guys recommend I do to put an end to this? Is there a way to come to peaceful terms with it? A way for it to just let go if I would stop the meditations? Do I just give it time to calm down? It seems worse and worse each day. Do I keep on practicing meditation regardless of how painful it is and maybe it will be gone forever? But it just feels worse and worse the more I do it, and it always comes back, and it feels wrong to be forcing things like this. I feel like my life is really going to end if I don't find any solutions, anyone who has any idea what's going on and what I should be doing, I would be so grateful to hear from you!

It sounds like you are (or were -- hopefully you're better now) experiencing what psychedelic pioneers Stan and Christina Grof dubbed a "spiritual emergency." I would suggest Googling the term and looking for a therapist who helps people overcome this not uncommon challenge. I see there's a "Spiritual Emergence Network" online that could be your obvious first step for info and referrals. Good luck!

Great subject that is unfortunately little discussed these days, especially in and around the hubs of the "spiritual" communities, i.e. the new age towns with lots of yoga "studios", and retreat centers and crystal rock shops. These places where 20 and 30 somethings wear all the "spiritual" garb like Indian mala beads around their necks and wrists etc..., really look the part with their glowing youthful smiles and "it's all good" auras. Don't tow the line in those circles and watch how fast things get uncomfortable. Ah...and so it goes.

2:15 What? With all respect this man has no idea what he's talking about.

6:15 Look Mr. Almaas, you don't understand how what you as a Western practitioner call human psychology is directly adressed and widely healed in the most basic meditative and spiritual training of ancient systems. This doesn't mean that everyone who does those practices succeed in them but the same can be said of Western psychology. At any case, it is merely poor understanding that the "psyche" is bypassed in ancient systems. It is not. Please do your homework.

7:50 Another mistake. Traditional training systems place lots of emphasis on the outer world and activities in it.
