Canelo was the next star after De La Hoya/Mayweather/Pacquiao. Yes, I know Pacquiao is still fighting, but Canelo is the biggest star in boxing and at age 28 he still has at least 5 to 10 more years of being a PPV star (or DAZN star I guess now). If we're not counting Canelo, than we have Errol Spence, Terence Crawford, and Deontay Wilder. Only Mexican or American fighters can become huge names in the USA. There are a few exceptions (with Pacquiao being the main one), but overall you have to be from the USA/Mexico. Even GGG needed Canelo to sell PPVs. Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have a chance if they can beat Wilder in the USA.

Realistically, I don't hold the hope that Manny has more than one really great fight in him against a top welterweight contender. Win or lose, I want to see him retire after the Thurman fight, if it happens as planned. The guy's done way more than enough and watching the Holmes vs Ali fight took so much out of me, I can't bear to watch it again.

Joseph Rudowicz Thurman is more deserving than spence but no way manny beats spence easy. Spence is one of the best at welterweight and as much as I’m a massive Pac-Man fan. I don’t see him beating spence. Everyone wants pacquiao cus it’s a money/legacy fight. Thurman deserves it more than spence tho as he has accomplished more at welterweight.

To me I think Al Haymon is smart by making Thurman vs Pacquaio because Errol Spence jr in my eyes will lose to Pacquaio, I think Al’s best Welterweight he got’s is Kieth Thurman,I think he’s saving Errol for the Crawford fight, Then when Crawford beats Errol he still has Thurman while Thurman beats Manny “maybe” Thurman will be more main stream it makes for a bigger fight and that’s the real legit best fighting the best and whoever wins will be considered the best welterweight in boxing right now.But that’s my opinion

Shane sounds horrible... slurring all over the place and not seeming to understand the simplest questions. When asked to make a simple choice, he gives random opinions and goes straight off tangent... sad. Hope he doesn't deteriorate any further.... 🥊🙈

Sugar did a really bad job of acting like his answer to who is the next star was unscripted. And it was funny how they had the Wilder footage ready to play. It was like they knew what he was going to say. Shill.
