Welcome to another short story. Today it's a story by the British writer Hector Hugh Munro, better known under his pen name "Saki".
Saki is one of the most renowned and influential writers of short stories of all time. He wrote more than 300 shorts, as well as novels, plays, and poems. Saki was known for his witty and satirical style, his surprise endings, and his dark humor.
Today's story "The Interlopers", published in 1919, is widely considered his best story and is a prime example of his style.
This story is about conflict, revenge, nature, and fate, and it has a really ironic twist. Two men trapped by their own hatred and pride is an excellent base for a fascinating story, isn't it? And a fascinating, darkly humorous story it is.
Now, sit back, relax, and I hope you will enjoy listening to "The Interlopers" by Saki.
