I searched about Bella Ciao after watching protestors singing this at Bologna, Italy recently, 'Bella Ciao' is way older than 'Money Heist'. From Wikipedia: "The song was adopted as an anthem of the anti-fascist resistance: by the Italian partisans between 1943 and 1945 during the Italian Resistance, the resistance of Italian partisans against the Nazi German forces occupying Italy, during the Italian Civil War." And it is beautiful! :)

Apparently, *Bella Ciao* is not from *Money Heist* originally. It was the song of Italian resistance against Fascism during World War 2. So basically the Hindi version of it was inspired by a similar emotion, like what the JNU students were going through.

Since you guys mentioned several foreign non-english shows, I really want to put forward this show called Dark. It's a German Netflix Original. Has a bit of stranger things feeling as it is about some missing children. But in episode 2 you realise oh shit.... so THIS is what the show is about and then you keep getting this feeling every 3-5 episodes. I don't think its a spoiler to mention that it has time travel in it, but the way they have executed it is PRETTY DAMN CLEAN. Probably the best show i have watched in the last decade (only 2 seasons so far, third and final season coming this year) I bet you after watching the show, Varun will say 'Arey BRHO, mind ka pav bhaji ho gaya!'

The song has much older origins though in the hardships of the mondina women, the paddy field workers in the late 19th century who sang it as a protest against harsh working conditions in the paddy fields in North Italy. It wasn't composed by the money heist guys.
