to be honest, I don't think anyone knows exactly what tempo, this song should take. Maiden themselves usually play it faster than the studio version anda I've seen cover artists play it almost thrash speed, and others slow it down.It is the most covered maiden song, by artists of multiple genres, becauuse of the relatable lyrics, so it works really well, as a ballad. I prefer it played more speedily, if you're going to play it with the intention of the maiden culture.
