The good thing is sancho knows he needs help and chose to take care his mental health before its too late. The talent is still there just need to take some break and possibly a change of scenery (a loan move should be enough) just to make sure the spotlight isnt on him.

We can blame the media, the fans and everything else but when experienced, strong-minded, top players like CR, Zlatan or even Alexis Sanchez say that the atmosphere around the club, the facilities and the staff is so toxic that even they underperform, what do we expect of young talents? I’m a Chelsea fan so putting Lukaku on the list would be hypocritical as he’s like a wooden log for us as well, not just United. But I believe you get the point. But when you think about it, even under Mourinho they sucked. And don’t bring up them finishing at second or winning the UEL, they played horrific football and even Mourinho himself knows it’s a miracle he achieved anything with that club

As a United fan I definitely believe he has the talent and if he doesn’t improve next year is absolutely pivotal in his Man Utd career and I was a massive supporter for sancho and still am the coaching team need to hit the key then sancho will be good not just for United but also England as well

Good for him for shutting down his social media - to me that's a positive sign. Just because he's having a difficult time doesn't mean he's lost his ability or talent, that's a ridiculous proposition. It's the challenges we face and the fears and obstacles we overcome that make us stronger. That's life. Good lad, I wish him well. He's a young man and and his whole life is ahead of him - he'll be back and he'll be stronger, and on his own terms.

No doubt the talent is there but United has been a place where talent goes to die for years now. Look at how badly VDB was treated by Ole. So many players post Fergie have walked in and been destroyed by sheer incompetence. The only way we can dream of being an actual football club is when the Glazers go. Apart from that TH can do what he can but we really need a proper structure above him.

Mental health is no joke and will happen to anyone. Just look at Lingard, he suffered or even suffer today from depression and such. No joke, nothing to laugh about, it is people who are good that's hurting within. Maybe it's time to talk about mental health within football or sports in general. Manchester United's problem has been the owners and how the club are driven past decade or so. No mental coaching for players to cope with stress, new arrival to a new country, help to settle etc. which can often lead to depression and low self esteem. Look at Arsenal, why are they so good? Because they do not neglect the mental aspect of the game and they have very good support to help the new players or in general established players to feel good and feel belonging. They for example managed to turn Xhaka around. Have never seen this at Man Utd. I feel Jadon Sancho, I imagine it's not easy for him right now, the same for Rashford, Lingard and every other player Man utd ruined. The glazers let this happen because they are incompetent owners that neglect all mental health post-Fergie. *DISCLAIMER - I know Lingard isn't at Man utd anymore, but he is a prime example of how the club ruined a player.

Sancho should come to Newcastle United. Eddie Howe has proven to be able to transform players who have lots of potential but a destroyed self confidence and he could definitely bring Sancho to that next level with a fanbase that would actually love him.

As always the effort & focus must come from the player first. We don't know why he has taken a time out...but its obvious it is not just physical. We'll never know what can affect a person's mental state...but its clear it is something serious to him & its worrying him all the time. All we can do is just encourage him to keep going & surround himself with friends & family & teammates that show him understanding. That said ...the life of a footballer is short & as much as ETH can support him, the best way for him to feel strongest is when he is in the team playing at OT in front of the home fans for a while. Sancho may be out for the whole season..i can live with that if he feels protected & supported by the club...but of course if he returns next season...he needs to be training & performing with total concentration & hunger - hopefully the individual program he is on now will help set him up for success.

It's strange really, I like many others still think there's a player in Sancho, its just not at United in my opinion. That club really doesn't have an identity anymore, and because of the ever swinging door of managers that come in and out they aren't able to create an identity. The reason Jadon thrived is the exact reason he isn't playing well or playing at all at United, he's the type of player who just wants to play, at Dortmund you could see that, he was away from the press able to focus on himself and really develop into the player who he was the season prior to his last. At United its almost like something hasn't clicked and he doesn't play with the same confidence he had at Dortmund. The reason why I think him being at United is the problem is because other players before had the same issues memphis di Maria Bastian schweinsteiger all great players but each of them either didn't fit or couldn't adjust. In my opinion Jadon became who he was at Dortmund by having coaches/whole club encouraging him to play freely at United its almost the opposite at the moment, that club is too big off the field.
