Even as a Dane I find the translations pretty annoying, but nevertheless this was the show that really got me into The Jam, so I can hardly complain. Great stuff also 37 years later.

If you look at music history, because of the ever changing trends, it's near impossible to last more than seven to ten years. I mean there's few and far between like the Stones who go on for decades. What they were doing in the 50s didn't translate to the 60s, 60s to the 70s, 70s to 80s and so on. That should be a part of any bands preparedness trianing.

God thank good they broke up shortly after. The trumpets get in the way. It's always the same, the best work by musicians, artists and mathematicians is When Your Young.

cant agree with that buddy..how on earth can you do a cover as good as that of Move on up without a horn section..The Jam did numerous excellant covers with this lineup like War and a few others aswell..but it peaked here and Weller did the right thing..but that dont mean it was redundant..its fkin awesome.

@@nickterrett6613 Fair play. We're discussing here, in my opinion, the nation's second best ever group. Like the Beatles, I'd have been content if they'd stopped, say half way through.

@@chrisst8922 i think whats important is Beatles/Jam music stands the test of time..both gain new generations of fans..in fact i would say Weller wipes the floor with McCartney in content, quality, quantity and variety..only Bowie compares for me.

@@chrisst8922 plenty new talent out there..and Weller has always been great at supporting them..most bands quote P.W. as an influence..check out his pure talent on his days of speed live acoustic set..absolute genius.

that might be pushing it a little but i do believe Weller has overtaken McCartney in his career in both solo quality and quantity..who knows what Lennon couldve done but i think PW is at least on a par with Bowie..again for output and originality..The Jam will always be my 1st love..and this is a gem.

sorry buddy..but i felt robbed..i desperately clung on to the Style Council..out of blind loyalty but apart from a few good singles and a decent album TSC never could count like The Jam did..Wellers 1st solo album was magic..and been magic almost since then..but ive never got over the break up..ive had relationships that were easier to get over🤣

He had no reason to split up the Jam. He could have reinvented it with Mick on organ. He was always going to need a bass guitarist and drummer.
