I just picked up the 300 and my oh my, I am impressed! The sound is so well balanced and natural and the sound is big for such a smallish cabinet. BUT PLUG IT IN!!! There is a pretty big difference when it's not plugged in and I see many reviewers using it off the battery and saying the sound isn't that good. Very good purchase and I'm totally satisfied.

I hope this pushes Marshall to get the ball rollin with a stacking mode for the home speakers soon. I’m dying to have my Woburn 3 paired with another.

I have bought the JBL Authentic 300 and I AMG glad I did despite all of the negative reviews. It sounds very good and the setup is seamless. The app has been slated , but I haven't had any issues with it when I linked it to my Tidal account. All in all a very capable speaker that can be linked to make a stereo pair and the ability to stream via WiFi make it a winner in my opinion.

I was going to buy the Woburn 3's soon but I might just get JBL Authentic 500's instead... I already know they sound good, I just need to find out is if they sound as good over a little bit of distance (20-25ft) like when you're listening to music and have to use the restroom or just leave the area in general for a moment. I've heard great sounding speakers completely fall apart and not sound worth less than half of their pricetag, when I originally thought it was a well worth the price when up close.

I'm curious on what the signature sound they have, since they are marketed to have "JBL Authentic Sound" compared to "JBL Pro Sound"

Between 200 and acton III which is better? I want to buy one for christmas but i dont know which one is a smarter choice for my livingroom, or maybe 300? Thanks

I've just bought the Woburn Iii JBL sound on the charge is a killer for portable but not for rock Can you try out on different subgenres?

so the point is techonology is very important these days in a market. how do you think about ikea speakers btw? i have heard they are making some good speakers with the price

I know ikea and sonos have a working relationship... they seem to never consistently be in stock though.

Dont panic... JBL constantly lies about the wattage powering their speakers. For example, Boombox 3 was rated 136 W but is the same loudness as Boombox 2 with 6 watts

@@TheAscendedTechNinja the only thing louder about the 3 is the 700hz frequency peak... while there is only 1dB difference in total bass output. Check out Alan Ross review of the BB2 vs BB3

@vlatkomrvelj3081 Ahh, you didn't see my comment on Alan Ross video or my unboxing and first impressions on it. Inside, the Boombox 3 can get pretty harsh above 70%, and depending on the music, you may want to skip that particular song. But the JBL Boombox 2 against the Boombox 3 outside really does show the gap between them. The Boombox 2 can not keep up with the Boombox 3 above 80%. And frankly, since I have owned my Boombox 3, I really don't use my 2 anymore rather than my two Tribit StormBox Blast instead. Great sound and value for the money, although 80% and above indoors sounds way too harsh

@@TheAscendedTechNinja no doubt about that, and yes, i did see your comment on his video. In fact i see you comments regulary on other channels and i did watch your videos and you seem a cool dude. But Alan did also point out... 136/180W claim, and the subwoofer is marketing BS

@vlatkomrvelj3081 Indeed, JBL does lie about their watts along with a good amount of other speakers, which is honestly unfortunate to see honestly. And that's not even a real subwoofer it's just a mid-range woofer that is also tuned for bass. Also I think I do see your comments here in there as well

Yeah I hope the 200 fits in my backpack lol and have more bass for the mid/upper compared to the middleton were it was only good low bass@@DannyPops

As someone that had a JBL speaker in the past, they have no reason to be worried. I'll take sound quality over features any day fr personally.

the 300 is a wonderful monster of a speaker and I enjoyed it more than the 200. If you've got the size and zero need for portability.

Could you please test the JBL Authentics 500? I really want to know how it sounds like. I do not want to go blind. I want an excellent speaker. And i need to know everything. How deep is the bass? JBL Authentics 500 is rated 40 Hertz, but JBL always goes deeper than their ratings. Yeah. Like JBL Partybox Encore. I have that speaker. It is rated 50 Hertz, but goes 40 Hertz flawlessly. So crazy. But that speaker is not satisfying anymore. I want more. Because it does not go any deeper than that. I need deeper. And how loud is the bass in Authentics 500? I hope it has good bass. And it has EQ so i can lower mids and highs and put bass all the way up. Hehe. It is a HiFi speaker, but i would use it for bassier songs. Like Trap, Phonk and Riddim Dubstep. And my favourite frequency is 38 Hertz. All my songs i listen go so deep. And i hope JBL Authentics 500 can go there very easily. JBL Partybox Encore also goes there, but not so well. 40 Hertz is great, but lower it loses power and sounds less strong. So close, but yet so far. 💀

I wish, you could see really Ovious the large bass and treble knob at the top in controls of the speaker. In the app you can control the mids too.

Bought the Acton 3 because of this guy. Then returned it because the sound was so disappointed. Even my Extreme 1 was louder. I even tested it against the X600 wich is way louder than the Acton 3 while it has a battery. Only the bass on the X600 was a let down. Ordered the JBL AUTHENTICS 300 wich will be delivered this week, it should be around 100 watt so goed enough for a little garden party.

Hmm the acton 3 is pretty loud. I'll have to check the dB reader on them to objectively say though

@@DannyPops loud enough for inside, but not as a party speaker or for in a decent garden. I expected a way louder speaker because of the price and because you can plugged straight in to the wall. Also compare to the X600 and the Extreme line-up the Acton 3 sounds verry boxy which i definitely do not like. The Acton 3 is just a decent, well finished and verry expensive boxy sounded speaker. You pay a lot for the looks and the brand, but it lacks in sounds en technology.

Authentic 300 can be more louder than the acton. But something update is needed to fix volume issue or bugs.

But this time, there is no way of using this speaker while running on battery be loud. If you want your Authentic to be loud enough, then you should plugged in.

@@HAIYANE9910 bought the Authentic 300 and yes you are 100% correct. The sound is amazing and it has serious power when plugged in. On battery its really bad.
