Bottom line, the job market in Canada is crap compared to what comparable jobs pay in the USA. If you are an immigrant seeking the american dream in Canada, you are in the wrong place. You will never get rich in Canada and the taxes are ridiculously. Even native born canadians are leaving as the canadian economy built on inflated housing prices and accepting 300-500K immigrants for low skilled labour jobs does NOT create wealth in this country. This is the truth. It's harsh but if if you understand what is happening you won't make the mistake of coming here in the first place.

Me and my partner are in our early twenties and putting together a plan to move to Canada, we are leaning towards Regina specifically. I’ve seen your videos on Regina as well as many others on just immigration to Canada. What do you think is a good timeline to work towards of having things done, starting from deciding on a area of the country to getting citizenship and planting roots. No country is perfect and things have changed very much in the world the past few years. The main reason we want to move is cost of living and social system. We are an interracial couple in a part of the country that isn’t the most onboard. And it seems like things are getting worse vs better country wide on that front as well as economically. We are pretty realistic people with grounded expectations and hopes. But there is still a lot to do learn take note of plan and think about with the whole process. I’d really appreciated any advice on timeline or the more baseline things. Could a couple without college degrees feasibly afford to buy a house and settle down in Canada?

Should Canadian born professionals get preference over foreign professionals? Do you think maybe preference is being given to those born in Canada as it would be in any country. Doesn't a country have a responsibility to provide for those that we born in Canada or does that not matter? ...I mean seniority is respected in the workforce isn't that similar?
@MARINAESIRI
@MARINAESIRI Жыл бұрын
The workforce cannot function that way, especially in Canada where there is a heavy dependence on foreign-trained professionals. Are you saying that because a person is Canadian born, they get preference regardless of their skills or competencies? Is that sustainable? I would put competency over nationality any day. Seniority within unionized positions is on the basis of length of tenure not nationality. Not the same thing.
@Rio-uv1gs
@Rio-uv1gs Жыл бұрын
@@MARINAESIRI I know seniority isn't the same thing but the principle is the same. Of course credentials should reign supreme over nationality, but as I said doesn't the Canadian government have a responsibility to provide for itsvborn citizens like any other country would..¿ ... Well atleast they have lots of testing to make sure foreign workers are up to par with Canadian standards which gives those born in Canada a little bit of an advantage.

Hello Marina! Am Edwin, Kenyan citizen currently working in Malaysia for the last two months now, have been following you through your videos for sometime now and am always encouraged since my dream was always to come work in Canada. Here in Malaysia is very tough since Kenyans are not allowed to work here thus no work permit and this makes employers and companies take advantage of you interms of very little salary working for more hours or even delay your salaries. This was a mistake that we've already find ourselves in and we should just accept and face it as it is. My concerns are, is there away you can assist someone relocate to Canada from where I am and how? Currently am working in a logistics company called JandT as per now I can do any general labourer since I was not privileged to finish my business course due to lack of fees. Looking forward for your response.
