He became Batman because someone killed his parents and he wanted no One else to feel the same pain he felt. So he just cant kill someone.He cant mentally do It. By doing that he would become what he swore to stop when becoming the Batman. And when he actually killed the Joker, he became something worse. While, sadly ,only when Batman dies,the villains start to realize how without him there's no punchline. And,the real problem it's not Batman not killing the Joker,but the Law DEFENDING the JOKER from being killed. Like, he litterally makes genocides every month and day,and all he gets Is to stay in prison? No death penalty? Like literally this is the same joker who died to Superman like 2 minutes later so how did superman think he had doomsday to begin with.
